Okay wow this was not about that particular mod, nor was I complaining about someone sharing a dragon in dragon share. I kept it vague hoping others would get what I was referring to but salt users piss on the poor. Something tells me I'm not in SMR anymore... I forget you guys like the whole name drops and archives ect.

I was complaining about exactly what I said earlier, gift-givers using *General* to bring attention to their gift-giving. Gift-giving is great! But the constant "ohhhhh don't bring up you wanted something in SBR now im coming for u" flirting happens constantly. For most other topics in SBR, people are normally willing to redirect their conversation into the appropriate channel, but oftentimes gift-givers take over a channel for a bit if they feel like it.

SA And DGMW I don't care if gift-recievers post that they received something, it's the givers that refuse to at least try and reply from the glitter channel.

I mean that doesn’t feel prolonged to me. More like a natural progression of the conversation briefly. If you were scrolling through it, sure. Could see where it’s a pain but I feel like it’s far more unnatural to jump mid conversation to a channel with context like that?

I was using the most recent instance as an example, at the end of the day it's not that big of a deal and I don't care to comb through general to find a more obnoxious example

There have definitely been times where general/channels outside of glitter becomes a long back-and-forth between a handful of users and it's obnoxious when the givers in particular keep the conversation going, making sure anyone who's reading knows it's them who's giving expensive gifts. After a while, it just doesn't feel humble or polite.

NAYRT

Yeaaahhhhh this is behavior I've seen in other FR places so I'm not surprised it's supposed to be contained in the Discord. It's not as simple as pure joy over giving/receiving gifts. People are dicks sometimes lol.

god this is so funny to see out of context, ik you said as much below but this is such a minor thing i barely even know if it exists

for anyone not in SBR, the first user at the top was specifying that they completed their bestiary, minus the KS and Boolean, so that's why they said they'd struggle to not touch the amount of gems needed for one - after what is in the image happened said user immediately went to the glitter channel to jokingly complain about the eggs they received. so the only breaking containment was... the emojis and vaguely reacting to it, any actual evidence of what was gifted was contained to the glitter channel and later the dragon share since images of dragons gotta go in there, and they were showing the dragons they hatched from the eggs they got

so we have

emoji reactions, 1 gif, nothing mentioning actually gifting things, and then things were in the channel they were supposed to be. i've seen other topics derail a channel for far longer than glitter before they were popped into the right channel so yeah, if this was the straw that broke the camels back i get it but otherwise it's so funny that this made it here (but op nonny i love salt so still 10/10 we are in the petty salt after all)
