No one here is saying poor people cannot have nice things or small joys. The cruel, guilt-tripping behavior that AstralCrescent is exhibiting is specifically tied to money and clearly feeling that they are owed other people's money. Because of that, the selection of items demonstrates the disingenuous nature of the entire endeavor. It's a scam, plain and simple.

add the fact that if you don't give money, they will very happily call you a murderer at the drop of a hat for 'not helping', regardless of whether the money you could have given would go to life-saving necessities or the luxuries.
