I'm pretty sure wanting people to excuse them and let them act however they want because they're mentally unwell is like, one of their main things? The moment anyone dares to call them out on anything, like many have already mentioned they will act extremely hostile and make a point about how "we're only doing this because they're disabled and trans" as if that somehow... makes it okay to use ableist language against others, to guilt trip people on the internet into donating money and mental energy and art etc, to dish out very serious accusations towards completely innocent people, to create and spread awful misinformation (or try to), plus several other things I'm either forgetting or don't know about because I've only loosely been following AC incidents over the years. Using the fact that they're dysfunctional to get a free pass to treat everyone they don't like like garbage shouldn't be ignored.

AYRT (last time, I promise, I know that we’re entering dead horse territory here).

I want to be clear here that I’m not excusing their behaviour and I don’t think the solution is just to let them act how they want to. Their attitude to other players, guilt trippy and otherwise, call-outs of staff, begging, spreading misinfo, etc are all Not Good. The fact that they’re visibly shame spiralling also comes across to me like an attention ploy and not a subtle one. One that is more suitable for young teenagers in middle school having their first friendship problems, and even there my advice to the middle schooler would be to Not Do That. It’s inappropriate to traumadump on people who didn’t consent to it, which is what’s going on here among many other things, and it’s unhelpful and unhealthy.

I feel sympathy for them because they clearly don’t have a good healthy coping system and/or are choosing to self-destruct. I don’t think the two feelings are mutually incompatible, or that being sympathetic means that AC should not experience the naturally consequences of their behaviour. Which is for people to block and keep blocking. If that means AC can’t participate in player-run activities and Dom, that is an appropriate consequence for not being able to be civil to their fellow players. The only way to “win” with this pattern of actions is to not interact.

I’ll also note that the only action on here I objected to was archiving their whole lair after the latest shame-spiral, because it felt excessive to archive the WHOLE lair as part of documentation. But I understand that not everyone agrees!
