i kinda give shadow a pass for not wanting to battle without warning, given that they're so HUGE that it would take a herculean task for it to be a fair fight for them to get involved in. that said, if it did happen, i wouldn't be shocked if i saw people rally behind them to help out. personally, i think flight alliances to help out in impromptu fights would be cool; the dom funds and such don't have to be dipped into all the time, but endorsing helping one particular flight over another due to established bonds might even lead to bolder, new kinds of user-made events.
AYRT I totally agree but it was frankly a bit awkward that they didn't realize they weren't in danger of being scuffled. They were among the most vocal in the conversation because they seemed to be really concerned lol. As if Water is some meanie who would pick on Shadow oh no wait that's Fire 😅
i find it strange, too, that they didn't think about the possibility of someone showing up when it's happened to them several times before. and yeah; water's not plucking up to just anyone, and they quite frankly made their impromptu fight really fair considering they waited until the last day and a half to rock the boat. i'd actually be concerned if they decide to make a bigger impromptu push, but they held back all things considered.
SA also yeah, listening to shadow had to feel... really awkward in that moment. kicking them down during a push is like kicking a puppy. it sadly feels infantilizing, but there's no way you can take conquest away from them and walk away without looking like an absolute asshole to at least a good chunk of the community who is aware of what you did.
