W...Who acts like that for a migraine? You just step away for a little bit to take care of yourself. You don't need to turn into a whiny baby? There's literally no need to make a show of it.

I've had migraines triggered by static images before, my brain does NOT like chevron/arrow in magenta for whatever reason (I suspect it's my brain trying to process the gradients all at once and just getting overloaded with the visual info? idk)... so I usually understand but this... wtf. Who does that.

I have hemiplegic migraines- they literally have the same symptoms as as a stroke. Paralysis on one side of the body, drooping face, loss of vision in the affected eye, aphasia, drooling on the affected side, loss of feeling on the affected side.

All followed by 12-24 hours of confusion, bewilderment, sometimes a loss of time, fatigue, and a postdrome headache that lingers for 24-48 hours afterwards.

It takes me 48 hours AT LEAST to recover from them.

I get them 4-5 times a month. The only thing I can medically take for them is Ajovy, which is a monthly shot that insurance usually won't cover, and one shot a month is (at the cheapest) 800$ per shot.

I haven't been on them in three years because obviously, I can't afford that when my monthly income is only 80-150 a month.

(And I still have REGULAR migraines on top of that 2-3 times a WEEK. I've been fired from two jobs because of em, so much fun :) /s)

What I do is smoke some goddamn weed. 20 bucks for a live resin cart that lasts me 2-3 months.

If I can't smoke? I sleep. I stay hydrated, have plenty of salt, some caffeine. (a cold coke, ice water, and potato chips often help me get my migraines to a TOLERABLE level)

Sometimes, it doesn't work, and you just lie in bed with your head surrounded by ice, and you just suffer. It sucks, but such is life.

What I DON'T do, however, is become a whiny little bitch on the internet over some fuckin pixels.

I refuse to believe they have half the shit they claim to have, because sadly, it's so easy to fake half of the stuff they claim, because they're labelled as "invisible illness."

They are NOT part of any disabled community I consider myself part of. They're one of the ones who make us look bad.
