Nothing wrong with not wanting to battle. You seem pretty level-headed and reasonable about it.
The only time I find fault with those not wanting to battle is the ones that in one sentence are ranting about how they don't want to waste money on battles but in the next gripe no one else is battling for th em to profit off of.
SA I forgot about those people because they are also the reason I don't want to battle... I can usually reach the top 10 or 20 in any IF or OOF raffle going by exalt stats, so it's very demoralizing when you've been preparing for months and then see someone else go during battle 'yeah, I've stopped training on Tuesday because I wasn't making enough money' - but site-given rewards will be the same for both of us. I still long for a flight leaderboard or exalt shop or exalt-exclusive rewards as I think that if rewards were more proportional to efforts, maybe more battles (or not only sprawling battles with months-long prep) will happen.
