i hatched my own g1 xxy today and wondered who hatched what today, but what i noticed is that there's a lot of accounts that were made a day or two ago with XXY progens. i assume they're progens because the accounts have two (2) g1s in their lairs. let me get smth as an example

op here again. that account might not be a multi but this DEFINITELY is.
rssrfsdfdsf (711319), sdfsdfdsfsf (711351), and fsfdsfsdfs (711352) all have accounts made on june 3rd, and they're all in arcane. 711351's clan bio is just "goal: 7,500 gems". huh. wild.
Many, but not all, accounts with the most valuable color XXY progens tend to be multis, especially those that are abandoned shortly after use. I've seen patterns of people continuously making accounts with these valuables XXY progens until they land on a triple obsidian or something.
but like.. you get nothing out of it. progens are worth 0 money because of their inability to transfer lairs. why on earth would someone do that?? i do not understand.
nayrt It's kind of like cosplaying as being rich. Sure, you can't sell a progen. But there are few ways to tell from the outside that it is, so you can dress it up and parade it around and claim you tooootally hatched a triple, and you could sell it any time, you just don't want to because look how pretty it is! How rare! Other people will be so jealous!
And not many people are going to do a dragon search filtering for progens with those colors and name to double check when it's not being advertised for sale, only shown off.
I've never quite understood this, since you can't sell a progen, making them effectively worthless no matter how awesome their colors are. Having a pretty progen is nice, but I can't see going to the trouble of starting seven zillion accounts just to get an XXX.
Some are definitely multis but others are players who probably got their original account locked and restarted. Or the odd one out where someone just likes a color so much they wanted it twice.
I do think it's highly highly likely to be multi-accounters though
