Wish i archived this at the time, but they have a history of being rude about other identities. I know when the second (?) pride vista drop happened, they complained that staff is too comfortable using slurs in reference to genderqueer.
I could actually see someone being unaware enough to be confused about genderqueer, but 5 seconds of google search fixes that, and I'm not dumb enough to post something like that.
That, in combination with the beach towel line... It feels like that user needs a lecture in "You don't have to post everything you think. It is better to just not sometimes."
I think they’re right though. I just use the rainbow flag because I find so many flags so goddamn ugly. Now are they being an ass? Yeah, but a lot of flags are just so badly designed.
I think many of the flags, including some that already have vistas, are really damn ugly, but that's an opinion for a friend group chat and not the Flight Rising forums.
Agreed that there are some flags that just have pretty ugly colors in general but I feel that there is a time and place to talk about that and the suggestion forum about making another identity vista is probably not one of them. This just feels like one of those cases where you tell a kid "if you don't have anything nice to say, you're better off saying nothing at all" lol. Plus it just rubbed me the wrong way with them calling the aroace flag a joke, not cool even if you hate the colors.
When flags are designed by people looking for something to identify behind/with and not all of those folks are artists... It's inevitable not all are great. I mean, look at the flags of the various countries of the world.
