I may be stupid but if we (royal we) know that HM is a troll, why do we bother entertaining a discussion with them? Someone brought up that maybe KiteM is a contrarian ARR regular, but I know Colormancy is also one. I guess I am just asking, if ppl knew HM wanted a fight, why did they dignify that off-topic with a response? The thread is on page 5 now and I think that if everyone just ignored HM the thread wouldn’t go off-the-rails

Trolling implies that they're doing it out of insincere belief just to get a rise out of people. They're not a troll. They sincerely believe that they're right. They're just stupid.

I don't think people usually engage with them though, this one was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Id argue the first couple responses were fine and justified (pointing out that HMs opinion is largely useless because they do this all the time seems helpful, in case somebody thought about taking them seriously), but continuing to reply after the double-down is just a waste of time. Theyre clearly a dumbass thats jealous of ppls good hatches/the fact that people can make gems without spending rlc.

Honestly talking about gems being worthless is hedging on spam territory already considering the original thread topic so. If this is consistent behavior then that's at least consistent spamming.
