This is one of the very few times where I wonder if there was an agreement to return the dragon to the original owner, based on the scope of the panic. They still have to find a way to DM the original owner and take the L on the chin. It wouldn't be easy, but it would be the right thing to do.
I’m sorry if I’m asking a dumb question, but I keep re-reading that first sentence and I don’t know what you’re trying to say
NAYRT
I think what the other anon is trying to suggest is Saa was either borrowing the dragon from someone else or they were paid to nest/train the dragon and they managed to accidentally sell the dragon and it got exalted, so now they're trying to get the dragon back to pretend nothing happened rather than tell the truth to the owner

Correct, yes. I think it's simpler than that, and that they were holding onto a dragon for a friend. It's unfortunate they got said dragon sold and exalted, but what's done is done.
I don't think they were holding the dragon for anyone. To my understanding it was a gift from a friend they lost contact with, and I guess it held a lot of value due to that.
Unrelated, but I don't understand why people don't put familiars, scenes, and/or apparel on dragons they don't want exalted or sold. The first thing I do after getting a new dragon is give them a familiar if I'm not putting them in the den to prevent this exact thing from happening.

This. Every perma I have is dressed to the nines. I even slap a familiar onto dragons I'm just using for breeding projects.
"I accidentally sold a beloved dragon who was a gift from an old friend who disappeared from the internet." directly from Saa, so i doubt there's an agreement to return it. the scope of the panic also fits with someone losing something precious to them. of course, Saa could be lying, but i'd also be freaking out like this. granted i wouldn't go and harass people and take the loss eventually, but loss of any kind could send someone through the stages of grief.
this is correct: it was a gift from a friend, hence the panic.
i do the same as you, too. the exact moment a dragon i never want to lose hits my lair, it gets a familiar as the absolute base security measure against me being an idiot.

So a forum game stalled because Luvia replied to it.
(For those who don't know: Luvia is notorious for blocking ANYONE and almost EVERYONE, so when she posts.... games stop until SOMEONE is able to see her dragons.)
How petty would it be if I replied to the person before Luvia as if she didn't respond?

I think it could be a subtle hint that they should cool down on the blocking. Everyone is free to curate their experience and block but when you also what to interact with so many forum games it becomes an issue.
Maybe if the thread is still stalled now, a few hours of nothing is good enough I think.

Be like "well, me and 90% of the site are blocked by the person above me"
not petty at all. if the game isn't continuing because everyone's blocked, interacting in any way could be considered harassment, so you may as well respond to the next available person.
What's the game? I'm not blocked so I can carry on LMAO
SA, I think I found it and carried on. My duty is done (now to be blocked... probably lol)
It's completely unnecessary lol. Nature dom is stuck in the past
Pretty sure Shadow doesn't either, at least for IF
We used to, but literally just this past BSJ switched to batch recording and it seems like we're going to be sticking with it in the future.
Honestly, I think this is a big win for Plague! I love a lot of the new familiars, and even the ones I don't personally like that much, I still think they have interesting design concepts/features. The other Plague members I've talked to also seem pretty happy with it.
Water doesn't record IDs IF, either.
Neither does Fire (not that our dom should ever be emulated :grimace:)
And yet despite this I've been working on some breeding projects lately to get specific combos that are extremely rare despite being super matchy??? I finally got my spruce/tarnish/spruce recently, and there is only ONE other unexalted dragon with that combo, and it's a first gen, and only 1 exalted dragon with that combo. How, those colours were made for eachother! I'm also breeding for a spruce/copper/spruce which there is currently only 1 of, and only 1 exalted dragon. It was a similar story with my clay/spruce/spruce and clay/spruce/pistachio pair, though not quite that rare.
There are some genuine hidden gems out there when you work out a nice scry for them. If anything it's very frustrating coming up with a really pretty scry only to find out you'll be in breeding project hell if you want to get your hands on that.
At the same time, sometimes I think back on dragons I had in my early days on FR and being excited to see they were really rare, or even on-of-a-kind colourwise. They were of course butt ugly, but I think having terrible tastes in dragons is the right of any new FR player, an important part of our life.

is this how i find out a random ass user blocks me
I've been trying to breed a taupe/pistaschio/pistaschio, and how is that combo so rare???
+1000
I'm in the middle of breeding for some super rare combos for my hatchery and its a paaaaaain but also kind of cool that no one has thought to do it before! I love finding unlikely combos in the scrying workshop.
The one I just finished was phthalo/phthalo/Pistachio which isn't the rarest ever, but I /was/ still surprised it took as long as it did to find breeding pairs.
