Hey folks. Istoki here again. Been busy for the past few days. I'm appreciative of a commenter explaining the origin of the "Kill" Family Feud gif I kept seeing last weekend.

There was in fact an emoji of "Kill", as presented on a board of answers in Family Feud, passed around last weekend. This was largely thrown around when folks were having hellish RNG moments, like getting first round Wartoads many times in a row, getting dodged many times in a row, getting contused or getting statused by Brilliant Psywurms. I recall seeing it show up at least once during a flip.

As I don't have Nitro, this wasn't an emoji I could access if it was a server emoji. I wouldn't have used it anyway, as I was too busy trying to make sure I didn't get jumpscared by the Public Buy to do much in the Coli. Besides, if the Coli's going to take advantage of our innate gullibility like that, it deserves more SMT comparisons than anything else.

To the point about members being targeted: if someone were in fact being targeted, where are the leaker's screenshots of them defending this person in the chat? Where are screenshots of them talking to a mod, admin, or server owner who were uninvolved, to help resolve the issue ASAP? There's even a mod on the Plague discord who's also a mod on FR who could help with potential violations of FR TOS. Why do the screenshots provided end shortly after I had to indelicately get a bunch of people back on track to the topic of the dom battle?

If the leaker wants to make the argument that they were whistleblowing for someone they thought was in danger due to threats to their safety, why is the only thing they have to show for it spliced screenshots sent to dreamwidth.org? Where is the indication that they made ANY effort to resolve the issue at all?

As to why I'm not directly responding to the leaker - I believe I accidentally found them over on FR. It appears they did me the service of blocking me first. So we'll stay mutually blocked for some time. If my indelicate handling of the situation has brought on any threats against the person that the leaker thought was in danger, I will personally (and privately) apologize to them.

go and stand up against an angry mob, of which consists of some of the leadership who were fanning the flames, and risk your own well-being and safety. while you're at it, why not wear high visibility gear out in the savannah at night and loudly tell lions they shouldn't eat you?

i don't know how to tell you that leaking a chat full of noxious behavior that should be brought into light isn't the sin you think it is. play stupid games, win stupid prizes. if you so dearly want to prove everyone else is wrong, you should be supplying screenshots yourself.

i personally don't feel the need to block you just for being a dumbass but I promise you this kind of thing helps no one. not least because no one here had any idea who you were until you de-anoned.

like, truly, word of advice: if you want to help a person or group being talked about on anoncomms, just Do Not Engage. short of posting hard evidence that a situation was faked/wildly misrepresented, all you do is make it more likely that driveby anons check out the thread, making it more likely they become aware of the drama rather than it dying out naturally.

Amazing to me that some people will really take this many words to say "Why did someone screenshot only the juicy bits of the drama? I can't understand why anyone didn't think to include all the non-relevant messages to slog through in addition to the parts people find most interesting!"

If you really haven't figured out yet why the curation of deets shows only the parts people had problems with, your only recourse at this point is to call Scooby and the gang to help you with this mystery, because it seems to be above this place's pay grade.

Yea. The "leaker" he's claiming is probably a user from plague that saw him showing his ass here, and rather than having the awareness to realize that or his behavior on the server made someone block him... it must be the leaker.

Not, you know, the consequences of his actions.
