One we’re not gonna gloss over 888’s documented behavior towards others and history of multi accounting just because they are extremely talented. I’m glad they did not lie about their ban, and I appreciate them for their growth. This is not a hateful post at all but I am tired of people just glossing over what they do.
Also, I find it extremely weird that 888 claims to not participate in this anon community. They often respond to posts in here in discord.

i'm running into a bit of a dilemma and am hoping some anons can give me some advice.
so, i've been in my current flight for forever, but a recent attempt to get more closely involved in my flight's community has left me feeling very alienated. and now, for the first time ever, i'm considering a flight change.
...but there's some problems: my clan's lore and breeding pairs are all based around my original flight. and the next-most obvious lore choice looks horrible with my breeding pairs, while also being a flight with a kind of sprawling community that i think wouldn't be much fun for me and how i like to engage with stuff like dom. i could go to a different flight that has a good color scheme for my dragons AND a dom scene i'm interested in... but it has fuck-all to do with my lore. (e.g. say I was in plague, with plague + arcane lore: arcane would be the better swap lore-wise, but earth eyes would look better with my dragons while being a more fun community for me to play in.)
i'm really attached to my clan's lore and don't want to redo it! so should i...
(1) chill in my current flight and go back to mostly doing my own thing rather than getting involved, which is if nothing else definitely less demanding on my schedule;
(2) swap to the huge flight with a sprawling community whose lore i love, trusting that i'll still enjoy getting involved, and retire my breeding pairs except for the rare nest rental (it's not like i have a hatchery; i'm just a stickler for matchy eyes); or
(3) swap to the flight with the great eyes and the nice dom scene, because it's just pretend dragons and what are we, the lore cops?
i'd ask around on FRD, but now that i'm actually sorta known in my flight community i'd rather keep the info that i'm thinking of leaving on the DL unless or until i actually swap.

I was in Plague, and my clan's lore does NOT fit with Ice, but I wanted to move to Ice for better eye colors, and to get away from the drama of what's her face and that "Letter to Staff" over Kryssilian being banned.
So, I took an aspect of Plague lore- which is endemic illness- and wrote that my clan's particular endemic plague had started to mutate, and was making the clan members have incredibly high fevers, and were starting to burn out (which also served as a lore reason for me exalting a LOT of dragons I'd lost interest in) so the clan leader uprooted them all and headed for Ice's territory to literally cool his clan down.
Once there, the clan's healers, herbalists, alchemists and scientists started researching the local flora and fauna to see if it would help with a long lasting effect on lowering fever or tempering the effects of their latent disease.
Once the drama died, and I was ready to go back to Plague and enjoy my little corner of my fav flight again, I wrote in the clan's lore that between research and the adaptability of a Plague clan, the illness stopped causing dangerous fevers, and the clan went back home.
There's always something you can find lorewise that will spur a clan to uproot and move- either permanently, or temporarily! Think of it as a creative writing challenge!

i say 3, 2 is also fine, but don't do 1. this is a dragon game and you should enjoy your time on here. and who knows, maybe after a while you'll be able to go back to your home flight without any lingering bad memories around

I agree...this is getting out of hand. I get the guy is "FR famous" and has maybe made mistakes, but so has everyone. If you've never accidentally offended someone with your wording ever in your life, then congrats on being perfect I guess. But your energy is better spent elsewhere. The downside to his art being so (rightfully) popular is that it also earns him a one way ticket to having his every sentence nitpicked and psychoanalyzed.

Honestly, I think you should. It feels like there's one or two anons haters just arguing in circles. Not organic of normal discussion. It's like when Rowan whiteknighted, but instead of whiteknighting, it's attacking someone.

It's not unusual for someone to have friends that relay or handle anon and drama comm posts for them if they don't want to.

what does "glossing over his behaviour" even mean in this situation? are we supposed to hound him every day reminding him that he broke the rules? never buy his accents or skins again? kick him out of discord servers? shun him on the forums? what do you want people to do?

No one is owed an explanation of someone’s behavior. Just block him already if he bothers you this much because honestly his ‘wrong doings’ are all inconsequential at this point.
You can always take a "vacation" and just see how being in a different flight is, and return to your home flight eventually if it's not your thing. Nothing is permanent, and on a fictional pixel dragon site you should be in control of your own happiness and experiences. If making lore makes you happy but there are other aspects of the site (dom, community) that you are now more interested in, follow that! Lore is yours, so you can do whatever you want with it. Whether that means keeping it, editing it, making it compliant with your new flight's backstory. It could be a great opportunity for unique story growth to change the setting up.

Funny news: the PVP forum thread of people wanting the staff to hand out dragons from banned accounts and being obnoxious about it we were talking about is now deleted.
Since community seems to be a priority for you I'd try out a flight that has a community that seems down your alley! When it comes to breeding matchy eyes you can always rent nests and the lore? I like to think that each flight has some really fun overlapping potential with one another and honestly adding to your current lore would be a pretty neat challenge, I think so that way you dont have to get rid of anything if you dont want. Because at the end of the day this game is supposed to be fun for you! Hell, you can add some TRAGIC backstory lore to your dragons as to why they had to flee their BELOVED mother flight after all these years and had to live in another flight. BONUS if it is a 'rival' flight. That'd be pretty neat! :)
Your lore dragons can live in a place outside your clan. I have subclans. My core clan is in water, but I have subgroups that live elsewhere. (Nature, plague, and shadow)
