An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

has anyone here ever interacted with them? something they posted in the "What's your FR Journey?" thread caught my eye. quote:

so i clicked onto their profile - clan bio starts with this quote:

i'm like, ok, how earnest are we here. is this Light Flight being Light Flight or is this for real.
clicking through their first lair tab dragons, there is a pattern to their bios, a series of quotes that probably come off as more menacing to me because so many of them are written in all caps. October 6th seems like it was a busy day for adding these quotes, probably starting with RADITE's bio, because it says:

Nope, they're not playing. I've seen them make comments about bible verses from some other thread they made about calendars in GenD. The bios read like this user is part of some Messianic sect.

Offtopic, but this makes me think of another person on-site who said they are a Messianic Christian. This led me down a rabbit hole of looking at it's proper name of Messianic Judaism, which is a weird way of saying you're a Protestant that appropriates Judaism. So uh yeah, that's a thing.

note that YHWH is the shortening of the sacred, unspeakable* name of God in Hebrew, and VERY inappropriate to even use the shortening casually by pretty much any religious person. it should ONLY be used in prayer and with great reverence. otherwise, it's extremely offensive, so this person is a really *bad* follower of the faith if so.

(*while sacred in every religious context that would use it, in Judaism, the full name of YHWH is specifically *not* allowed to be spoken as it's God's true name. this mileage may vary in different denominations of christianity/catholicism/etc.)

The use of the full name varies pretty wildly across branches - you tend to see strict prohibitions against using it at ALL in specific sects, such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and it can be traced back to ancient Gnostic traditions.

That said, even for those branches where it’s not considered hugely taboo, proseletysing via online dragon game would be considered a questionable decision at best.

I didn't want to say it myself because of how bad a rep schizoaffective disorders have, but people who usually have this level of religious obsession usually are on the schizoaffective spectrum, and some of them do focus on the more eclectic/esoteric parts of religions.

It doesn't look like they're HARMING anyone, but I'm not Jewish, so I'm not speaking to the taboo aspect of naming some of the Hebrew figures.
