An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

i've never seen a well made human avatar. idk, the animal ones for snappers like the crystalline gala snowy meow tiger are cute? something about how the eyes fit on humans look super uncanny tho

I'm mostly curious, as someone who's a big fan of human headed creatures; is the human parts on an animal body a problem, the fact it's a human straight up painted on the skin, or a trend that human avatar FR players tend to be insufferable? I'm totally not a fan of the skin they use, but there's a lot of really well designed human head skins out there (personally; your taste is your own!)

i'm curious because another site I was on implemented rules against having too many human features on a custom creation because it not only got a little overboard when a human-head-on-animal-body craze hit and it was never an intention by staff to have such designs happen, but also a very vocal group of active players commented how uncomfortable they were over human body parts on animals. I wanna know if this is more than an isolated case and if I should be more mindful.

I've found (in my personal experience) every person I've dealt with that has a human face avatar has been entitled or insufferable.

Add the uncanny valley factor and I just block folks who use them because I prefer curating my experience on FR.

I am having flashbacks to Neopets shops with all the shaking gifs, the rainbow text. *shudders* all it needs is to suddenly have music playing and my cursor hidden because it was changed into 'sparkles' to be complete...
