An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

I have to wonder if he thinks he’s really funny for stirring shit here, when he genuinely has no idea how much of an idiot he makes himself look like. He can’t even commit to the “look how obtuse I am lol” bit, because he can’t go 5 seconds without explaining himself or refreshing the page for a new response.

It’s like he keeps pantsing himself in front of everyone. He looks around at the room like, “look how funny this is, right?” - no, dude, your ass is just hanging out for all of us to see, everybody’s embarrassed for you, and this is the fifth time you’ve done it this week.

You could have just not deanoned. If something like this happens again, just say you'd rather not deanon. That's completely normal and no ones's owed a reason. If anyone does ask why, ignore them.

That does mean you can't do this kind of direct trade, but them's the breaks.

i find going out and playing pokemon go for shiny hunting to be a good collecting pastime. i get to go out, see the sun, breathe the air, get some exercise, and on top of it i get sweet serotonin from seeing creatures in a rarer colour palette make a sparkly effect. right now, i almost have the shiny national livingdex all forms (including gender) at 60% completion! that's 700 out of 1200+ rare variants of unique pokemon forms!

there's people on the internet who think anyone with a shiny pokemon hacked it in, or is cheating, but that's fine. i know i spend my time wisely by doing something meaningful for me, and i don't talk to those people and stay away from them. i don't go to their circles, and if they go out of their way to talk to me, i block them and go back to the thing that makes me happy. i know the joy of my collection and the time i put into it, and i talk to people who want me around and value my existence.

all this to say: stop interacting with people who don't want you and get a hobby elsewhere among people who can tolerate you. constantly throwing yourself to people who hate you is a variant of self harm and you need therapy. that's out of our paygrade and we don't owe you any courtesy when you enter our spaces where you're not welcome and try to make room for yourself where you aren't wanted.
