Spooky Spite

An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

people have talked about this before. if winners can't win again for another month, what about the festivals that happen right before a popular festival? who in their right mind is going to enter for rockbreaker's if crystalline gala in january is coming up. that will just result in more people entering in popular months and less people entering in unpopular months, making the fest scene worse. every 'solution' that people came up with, such as a winning cooldown or allowing people to vote skins in by popularity, falls apart if you think about it for more than a few minutes.

ayrt

there are tons of skins each fest that are perfectly fun, well executed and on theme. By having some fests be more unpopular surely you will also see more people go for that knowing they will have a better shot outweighing the 'skill drain' of people prioritizing or being on cooldown(people already plan around which fests they wanna do), sure maybe its not all gonna be 100% polished exactly what staff want, but who cares it might mean some fun stuff gets to get published and it helps optics
