An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

So basically some Nonny Water flighters commented that cause lately its been Water conquests thats been hitting high fodder floors payout-wise and you will throw the entire flight under the bus consisting of thousands of members?

You easily could have left that last part out.

I'll be honest. Droplet, and I'm not even bothering. Because even if we win, we don't really win.
Everyone will just say it's because we had more prep time/resources than ice.

Props to ice for stepping up, but I almost wish it had been canceled.

people have all sorts of benign/petty reasons to support or not support a flight. ive seen people not support flights because they didnt like the flights aesthetic or had a single person in it they thought was annoying. not wanting to support a flight with people who call OOFers names is a pretty valid reason lmfao

Yeah I actually refuse to convert birds to food points in I can help it... also the cats and pangolins are iffy for me as well.

I'm a lot less likely to support a flight where members are calling me names. Any flight that has had a big battle has experienced the wild cash grab that happens the last couple days of a dom fight. Lately it's been water, but every flight has gone through it. It's expected, which is why flights usually try to put some type of restriction on the payouts to mitigate some of the damage. Bitching about people wanting to support your flight, whether it's for money or just general excitement for a battle (which is also a thing), is never a good look. At the time people were excited for a battle and understandably disappointed when it turned out that a battle was not happening. If it had been just one droplet I think most people would have just overlooked it. But droplets were bitching in multiple drama comms. You should note that Wind was not getting the same amount of pushback even though they were the other flight involved at the time. And it's absolutely because they didn't wade in and fling shit. Calling people vultures was a bad call and there are at least a few people who will be supporting Ice this time because of it. Some of those "vultures" provide a huge amount of dragons to whichever flight they are supporting. In the future, it might be a good idea not to alienate them.

Who freaking cares? A win is a win. I'm a droplet too and I'm pumped for this battle. We have a great, hard-working dom team and I hope they shine this week.

Don't bother arguing. Ignore it. You just amplify it. A person getting pissed off and losing their temper after both flights were being screeched at on multiple platforms for Domwatch being awful at labeling push types is enough to label an entire flight.

Even if I've seen the term used in discussions the past by frustrated people in every flight when people were complaining about the rarity of battles. This is what sticks.

water, i like their oof raffle prizes more. uma chase prizes don't interest me and i'm gunning for the physical painting in water's raffle even though i probably won't get it lol

Yup lol. I can't even tell you how many sports teams I irrationally dislike. It's silly, but it's a thing that always happens when teams and competition is involved. Waste of salt getting upset about it.

Back when people were yelling about the push with wind being poorly labeled. Domwatch worded it poorly, so folks thought there were two battles.

Bad feelings and misplaced anger/frustration on all sides turned into a shitshow.

as someone who loves every little bug that lives in my walls and has thrown hands over people harassing wild animals before, i don't see it as wrong at all. some of the endangered species like pallas cats, emperor penguins and sea turtles REALLY shouldn't be food items, but animals eat each other and it's not immoral. i still dont convert the sea turtles tho

honestly as a droplet im excited for the battle itself, but im really just worried about the reactions to it after the fact. shit gets heated and its not like smr is known for being reasonable or anything… literally just praying we dont get shit on if we win for having more prep time or having smaller flight advantage

I thought it was typical by now to not increase prices on the first day?

I would really like the ability to preview skins on morphologies in the Preview Skin popup window that shows up when you click on a skin's icon. Just a quick dropdown menu to select from Dragons or Morphologies would do. It'd make the process of finding a matching skin for projects so much easier, but I can't see them doing stuff like that with the amount of genuinely important stuff they constantly put on the backburner.

There's been a tiny price increase after rollover but yeah, folks are going craycray over the raffle it seems. I'm hoping for a flip soon.
