Just want to comment re: the one gene with listing of breeds.
I feel the problem with this is twofold.
The first is that tooltips are notoriously finicky on some devices (and I am on PC and they get stuck for me all the time) so it would be harder for people to find the gene they want if they have this problem.
The other is that the potential list of dragons that the gene could be used on could become very unwieldy. Like, right now, we have a limited number of ancients, and I am not sure which gene is used on most (or all) of them. So, for now it is fine. But how about when we have 14 ancients who might all use the same gene? We now have 14 dragon breeds listed in the tooltip. Or 15 breeds but only one *doesn't* use the gene. Again, either 14 listed, or they change the structure to say 'X breed *doesn't* use this gene' which has the problem of people thinking that the gene is ONLY available on that breed and buying it for that breed. Someday we might even have 20+ ancient breeds, with a varying mix using various genes.
I think that is one reason they might not have went with the 'two genes, just list what ancients do or don't use the gene in tooltip' solution, because it would be a nightmare on some devices, and ultimately would potentially stop working when we have so many dragons using one particular gene that the tooltip is too long (and finding a specific breed within a wall of text, or remember that this little icon means X breed within a wall of icons, would be a pain)
Those are very fair points - I hadn’t considered that, and I can definitely see the issues that could come up. I guess there’s not really one perfect solution to the problem.
I do still hope they add the parallel MP genes to the new shop, which would at least cut down clutter in the MP. But they did say they’re working on a solution to that, so I’ll wait and see how it works out.

I am also waiting to see how the MP gene solution is going to look, and hopefully it will be everything people hope for :D
