Purchased a dragon to be part of a fodder pair for less than 10g on the AH, only for it to be a double legacy dragon of all things. I read through both threads and both claim that they can’t control descendants that get exalted, therefore they don’t mind, but this is also my first time keeping dedicated fodder pairs and I wanted to know what other people would do. This pair has a tight spread of colors that I want to keep. Am I fine if I proceed without ever interacting with the legacy threads? Is it more polite to reach out if any hatchlings are special (e.g. eyes)? If I decide to register at a later date, would it look funny that I’ve been creating fodder?
I’ve already accepted that if I don’t want the dragon anymore, I’ll reach out to either thread. I just have no idea if there’s any etiquette I should be aware of before I bother them. :’)
not sure what legacies exactly you're talking about, but i don't think you Owe it to anyone to involve yourself with the legacy thread. if you think it would be fun, go for it! but if you'd rather just keep to yourself, that's fine too. if it's a Naomi/Ignis descendant or anything like that, there's SO MANY of them that i hardly think people would be mad at you for just yeeting ugly ones to the gods. if you get handsome hatchies though maybe post them to the threads!
Thank you for putting it into perspective for me. One legacy is on generation 18 and the other is on generation 20 so you make a good point, and I'll be sure to give a chance for the prettier ones to be adopted within the threads. Have a nice rest of your day, nonny!
What fresh hell is a legacy dragon and why there should be some sort of etiquette about what you can do with dragons you own? Frankly, it sounds like you're overthinking, just do whatever and forget about other players' imagined lore.
lineage/legacy dragons are descendants of "notable" dragons. popular ones include generation 2 Imperials, children of Naomi->Willow->any of her descendants, children of #666 Ignis, et alia.
Legacy dragon etiquette?
