giving your accent weird ass names that are hard to type in the AH or generally to search for, i know you want to be unique but "brydrzsfgsdu42069" is not exactly easy to spell or type or correctly for your accent name buddy
accents/skins that only look good when the shadow/lineart layers are disabled for the previews. genuinely feels a bit scummy to open preorders with art that shows how it looks without them. i cant tell you how many times ive had to personally request an artist show how it would look on my dragon just so i can confirm that, yes, the accent looks like a muddy fucking mess with the lines+shadows included.

Specifically, they make a lot of money reselling UMs at 2x+ times their value. I respect them as an artist but goddamn their price markups on other artists’ works is over the top. I had to tell someone they overpaid at 3.5kg for one of Ysdaar’s AH listings of a 450g reisiger accent the day after it was reprinted :/

Yeah this is something another site I frequent had in its early days, called a "sub account". They were even coded so you could only do certain things on the main (like a lil' thing you can visit once every couple hours to get money) so you couldn't take advantage of those.
Yep I dislike the human face thing and I tend to adblock the avatars of people who do that because honestly, no thanks.
I like em, but not because of anything in the achievement shop. I have an outrageous amount of points I'm just sitting on, it just gives me something to do and some sense of direction. Granted, I'm a completionist so that's my self-inflicted cross to bear ^^;

Same, I used to buy whole recolor sets of their skins, but can't afford to anymore. I'm rarely reselling UMAs I buy, so I see no point in paying extra for Ysdaar 'brand' for potential resale value.
Good on them to be able to sell 100 copies at 1500, but I'd rather have 2 skins from someone else even if I have to add some gems.

that's so scummy. 100 copies is 10 whole runs, barely what you'd call "limited". there's always several colors too, and i can see ysdaar is having trouble even selling all 100 copies. what a jerk move, pumping up the original price of your own skin just because there's nowhere else for people to buy.

I dislike most skins/accents that use transparent parts to alter the outline. That includes the joke skins mentioned above, but also the ones that're still recognizably a dragon. It's usually not doing anything particularly interesting, and it seems extra pointless when the lines are still visible, glaringly so, and right there.
Very rarely it's used to somewhat cool effect, like that We're All Mad Here Cheshire Cat accent from Trickmurk Circus 2019. I'll probably never use it, because of the lines thing, but I appreciate the idea.

People can overprice their own skins however they like. If you don't want to buy it for that price then... don't buy it? It's a bad business move imo but Ysdaar is being completely transparent about it. And in this case it's the equivalent of 15 bucks, big whoop. 🙄

oh don't worry, i'm not buying it :P i'm not accusing him of being opaque either. but i can think it's an asshole move to completely eschew the market standards of a skin's printing price out of sheer greed
i'm just stockpiling the tokens in case they release new stuff i like more later. but i'm also a completionist for the achievements themselves. nice to have long term goals, especially as a long-time player whose main interests now are g1s and dom.

no one's starving to death cuz they can't afford ysdaar's umas nonnie, unless you're deliberately misleading someone (eg rainbow sprite listed for 2kg as the "cheapest sprite") it's not scummy to price things how you want. get a grip
One where the word scummy implies someone being dishonest or scamming, neither of which is happening here. If people are willing to pay for a product at the price he sets it at then congratulations, that's the new market price.
