it's interesting to see people saying undel's dragons look dog-like
(not saying youre wrong, just giving my own take on it. also, before anyone tells me to get therapy, i am in therapy and doing great)
i have a fear of dogs thats also manifested as a deep level of disgust and anger when i see one, or anything similar to one. canids (and vulpines), even just their skulls or the shape of them and their bodies. i cant see dogs IRL and even seeing the doglike familiars on site causes this reaction (ive mitigated it with adblocking images though. its definitely not FRs problem, its a me problem lol). so even cartoon canine visuals trigger it
all that to say that ive never felt any sort of negativity towards the dragon designs themselves, though mirrors (and tundras) got pretty close to the edge for me (not helped by everyone in plague calling them "murder puppies"). they dont feel doglike to me, or any other dragon designs ive seen from undel. im wondering what makes other people see them as doglike? is it just because people associate mammalian = dog? They hold old dragons in their lair for about 2 weeks then sell at a high as fuck price to "make room"

in my humble non-professional opinion, i don't know about asking for that much for those. i personally got a matchy, low bred, lower 7 digit ACTUAL imp for less than that, even. goodness. but maybe i just got lucky with that, it was some handful of years ago.
i would not consider that 6 dig imp they have to be worth that much, colors/color pattern considering - you can go on the ah right now and find a true xxy 6 dig imp for 9.5kg, though i suppose having slightly more offspring might affect that based on the buyer. i personally wouldn't shell out.
idk about the rest of the dragons. that xxx white one might just be worth that much because of. well. being lvl 25 and unbred. though i did find a nice xxx with matching eyes and very few offspring for... 1.2kg. it's even older than after's. but to each seller their own prices i guess.

A history of giant extravagant 'gifts' and currency amounts going one way between players that have not otherwise interacted, or just started interacting very recently, probably would be a big red flag something isn't right. All they really need is an initial tip of some kind and then they can examine the whole cr history.

I haven't had any bad experience with After, but it's weird that most of their 7 digits are more expensive than the 6 digits
I'd say try to ping them in the server (assuming they got in touch with you thru the server), and if they block you there then treat the dragons as abandoned. FR TOS will have your back either way and you can otherwise refute any negative reviews or w/e if the dragons' owner decides to point fingers at you down the line because other people would have seen your situation.
+100, there are a couple people who over-ping for their over-priced oldies & it drives me wild. @/After is a price-inflater for sure. You know who's the worst though? @/ALYXSANDRE. SO many pings. Always the same dragons, but totally cheaper this time guys! Still double LAH/conventional prices though. But toss me an offer! But not that offer. And not for that dragon. Complete with a little guilt-trippy "well I didn't WANT to let that one go, but I GUESS I will lol" like bud??? You know you can just keep the dragons you don't want to sell, right? MERCY ME. I'd block these people but it would block me out of the oldie market too LMAO. Please tell me other people feel the same way and I'm not just going "bitch eating crackers" on this issue lol
RIP Reddit. I spent a lot of time in specific small subreddits, but exclusively used 3rd-party apps, so corporate changes locked me out. The site has had its cesspool issues before, but this was the one that put the nail in the coffin for me. So sad to know that the best content & knowledge is now likely to be contained in private servers, largely unfindable without social connection. Previously, looking at the content WAS the social interaction. But this is the opinion of a lonely person, so maybe others have a better experience.
Hmm, I'm sorry you're feeling lonely. IRL, the judgments of others would have a lot more to do with body language, tone, general hygiene & appearance, et cetera. This is largely removed in online context (though tone does come through, it's easier to modulate because of the ability to reflect on what you've written before submitting your text). ESPECIALLY communities like FR where being autistic or LGBTQ+ honestly feels like the norm. So, we have to rule out a lot of the regular factors affecting social response.
In the spaces where you feel like you're being rejected, what personal information do you have available? A lot of people have auto-block criteria, so take a look at how you describe yourself and check that information against common squicks. Whether they're sensical or not, here are reasons why people might block or ignore: obnoxious style of typing; fandom affiliation (not just anime-type fandom, but also sports teams & whatever else); mention of shipping or character preference; country of origin; whether or not you're a Furry; neopronouns, especially or including emoji pronouns; oversharing medical conditions; whether or not you're a minor; et alia.

+1, these people always give me (and probably others) a false sense of high values when selling G1s myself. I look at their dragons sometimes and think "oh I have a dragon that looks like this one, I wonder if I could actually get around 5kG for it." But then I see that their dragons never sell. I never list anything for that high, because I've struggled to sell dragons even at reasonable prices (typically under 500g/kT), so there's absolutely no way I could sell a good looking non-double for 5kG lol. Plus, the market is so heavily saturated now, it's hard to sell anything in general, people are gonna prefer the cheaper options if they can find it.

Now I'm no detective, but it doesn't take a genius to look at the situation and conclude that someone would be REAL willing to spend some actual cash in exchange for the ability to print gems forever. Prices on future Willow nests seem to be locked at around 100kg per hatchling, but what the hell? 10kg is $100 USD. You could pay $1,000 USD for Willow and still cut a profit in a second. Why would Shian sell Willow for 800kg when breeding her ONCE could print that much money instead? I am looking at my wallet...

I definitely think Booleano isn't as goody goody as they like to pretend, I've always been suspicious of them ever since Feet/Bany got banned on-site right after trading with them for the KS vistas; one of Booleano's friends also happened to get banned at the same time.

Frankly I think all of these people are in on the RMT business and perhaps more. It often turns into a bar fight or a saga of betrayals after these RMT people come together and start creating buisness alliances. Not condoning the way a certain group treated another group at all and I think it was disgusting but it fits in line with the typical behavior of these folks.

It's really ridiculous. People less versed in the market see those prices and think they'll actually get a price in that range for their dragons, when really it's so far beyond the reasonable realm of probability that it's laughable. Just like people trying to price things based only on LAH - like, no, regular bred 5-digits don't actually go for 35kg unless they're G1 or Earth element. They're still 20kg. Dragons you see on the auction house are the ones NOT being bought. There are some 6-digits listed on the AH that I just see over and over again because people are too stubborn to lower the price.
Adding @/Blackiebelle to the list of price inflaters for that exact reason - #603722 did Not sell for 4000g last year & chances are he's Not selling for 4kg this year, either. Don't people get sick of relisting the same auctions over and over again? Lower your prices and ya might actually sell something!

That's actually cool, and much more reasonably priced lmao. Or I guess the kids of dragon #666 I can understand the appeal of - that line gets crossed with Naomi a lot. Or maybe #420 or #42069, but honestly I think I'm glad that #420 is exalted and #42069 seems inactive/not caring about meme number.
