Yeah but misusing a stock image is a common mistake. A mistake made 4 years ago in a deleted art shop. If you really want to artist beware for recent stuff find proof of things from 2021 and more recent. The other examples of tracing are way more relevant because those were definitely not stock images. But they’re also still pretty old.
People can change a lot in 4+ years. Including becoming so ashamed of their own past misuse of stuff they jump without thinking at other uses of similar stuff

Sure. Point still stands that Dakkokki stole and traced a ton of art as an adult, then kept posting that shit on his gallery for years, then turned around and joined in on a dogpile when they saw another artist being harassed for using creative commons photos as reference. Then lied about what and when he traced, kept lying, and spent days arguing himself deeper into a shit corner.

I will admit I haven’t properly read all the rest of this thread. Or even checked the dates for these. I do just think he’s made mistakes in the past that led to this now. And in trying to reduce the hate from these old mistakes (and from the getting mad at an artist for tracing a Creative Commons stock image) he’s been making a lot more mistakes. Probably acting without much thinking which then leads to these holes being dug for himself. It also doesn’t help that there seems to be a few people who just have a hateboner for him. Or maybe those people think no one can ever change so mistakes they made in the past are just as relevant now (i wont go into that part much because it’s related to the other thread about him which I absolutely didn’t read all of and where everything is frozen. All because of a nasty community that is known for targeting people like them and they haven’t shown any signs of still being like that since ive known em)

Oh here I'll help you with that bit: Dakkokki/captain-chompers/Twink_God#6136 publicly posted another person's nudes on a transmed community without their consent and is currently trying to minimize the impact of this by saying that they forgot they did this and it was a few years ago.

So mean... a community that targets Dakkokki by... posting receipts showing that Dakkokki has a history of being a blatant thief and a history of lying, and a history of being cruel to gnc people.

dakkokki was not some clueless 14 year old. he was a 22 year old adult who made the conscious decision to:
- create a subreddit dedicated to mocking trans people
- make this subreddit have flairs expressing horror at trans people and question how they got hormones
- decided to post not once, not twice, but many times on this subreddit
- and finally made the conscious choice to post somones nudes, unconsentually, to mock them

dakkokki was not a child. and even if these communities are deeply manipulative, dakkokki MADE THE CONTINUED CHOICE to create, cultivate, and contribute to it.

Dak has said he has memory issues so it’s very possible the reddit was just kinda abandoned until he was reminded of it because also, why the hell would you put a reddit account on your main email. My own reddit account is connected to the email i had made for me as a tiny child which is so chock full of spam it’s ridiculous. From the skimming I did of that massive frozen thread it didn’t seem like there was any posts in the subreddit for a long time either. But also he deleted it now because it was a shitty thing to leave up so its not like i can go double check. Imo deleting that sub as soon as it was brought up to him was the right thing to do, despite people calling it covering his tracks.

I mean, neither I nor Dak defended that old subreddit. Dak absolutely said he was a pos back then and immediately deleted that sub as soon as he was reminded of it because it contained a lot of toxic content. I’m just saying that he
a. Probably fell into that community because the community is predatory like that
b. Hasnt acted at all like a transmed in the year + ive known him.
c. Admitted that he was shitty in the past when reminded of that subreddit that afaik was completely inactive, not just he didn’t post there, no one had posted there. And then deleted all that toxic content because it isnt a cool thing to leave up

That seems like someone who took responsibility for their past actions and only offered an explanation for why they had fallen into that shitty mindset back then. While also getting rid of the old nasty content because it wasnt stuff anyone should read.

NAYRT i applaud your effort to be charitable to dakk - i really do, because i think witch hunts on the internet are terrifying, having been the target of a couple myself - but he's laughing about all this in his discord server. he's just not a sincere person and while it's certainly possible that he's changed his views of transmed stuff the fact that he's not taking this whole debacle seriously (it's entertainment for him) makes me suspicious of any claims he makes.

also note how he cant even take accountability for that. it was ~someone else~ on discord who told him to.

I’m in the fucking discord. I didn’t see the Logan Paul thing but also Dak is a huge shitposter in general, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s also sometimes a coping mechanism (because damn life is shit sometimes). I have seen most of what was in the fr salt channel about this tho. And if anyone here shares they’re screens of that channel they’re violating my privacy as well as that of a few other members. The screenshot rule isnt to protect dak. Its to protect everyone else in the server, some of whom were having serious anxiety when screens about the auction leaked.
Especially since people dont even like to censor discord icons. Not that ARR even requires censorship.
