I think OP meant it was a shorthand for death on the forums. "Literally" is a hyperbolic stressor.

did they though? it follows the phrase, "the website featured death," which definitely sounds like describing a site feature, not a memetic shorthand used by some forum users some of the time.

The site is not the forums, also pretty sure staff shuts down any comparison of exalting to death hard in the forums as a rule.
