Kind of sucks that I hear about this kind of thing happening and there's no grace from staff when it comes to banning people making new mains due to harassment or just forgetting they created them, and meanwhile brightmyth has apparently been funneling from multis for 3 years or more but gets an invitation from staff to make a new account.

Your description of them is an accurate description of their behavior toward me and others currently and formerly in their friend group. As opposed to asking for help from their friends, they demand it. If they do not do enough in their eyes, they berate them and guilt trip them, often publicly. The helpless persona they used made it hard for me to cut them off and left me wracked with guilt afterwards. I believe that guilt combined with just how bad their abuse was made it difficult for me to establish boundaries and to recognize toxic behavior in future friendships. I have since learned how to set and enforce boundaries and to stop thinking "It's not that bad!" if someone behaves inappropriately, but it was a journey getting to that point. Hopefully the reputation they have created will reduce the number of future victims they can lure in because I would not wish this on my worst enemies.
You are also correct about their partner. I witnessed them verbally ripping into their partner constantly over harmless mistakes or for no reason at all. I hope PE has changed in that aspect but I am not hopeful based on their public behavior.
You mentioned Final Fantasy XIV: I tried to find their characters there to avoid and I was able to find their entire guild on there by searching a few of their RP characters' names. It came as a BIG relief to see that they are not on my data center. But looking over their gear I see the telltale signs that they and their partner have been purchasing or have been gifted many job and story skips for their many characters. These range in price from 15-25 dollars each except during half-off sales. I stopped counting after a few characters and saw at least TEN of these skips.
I completely support people in poverty having access to luxuries and I can understand one or two of them. But TEN PLUS? Yikes. To top it all off, their levels/gear reveals they are not even using these skipped characters and jobs to play the game. It makes me sad that people donated hoping to help someone in need only for that money to be spent on UNUSED premium, non-essential video game content. Not to mention, this sort of behavior makes it harder for people in need to receive aid because of a few bad apples trying to scam.

I thought anyone was allowed to make a new account if they got banned for multi-ing previously (assuming they aren’t repeat offenders)?
Oh well TIL then, I thought it was a blanket ban of 'never make an account with us again'.
Hah yea I will admit the Aether thing was 100% a stupid thing on my part. If they ban me for it, I won't even lie about being caught. They're my new favorite breed and greed took over lmao, but I no longer have access at least. (Also the hatches were ugly so rip, sold em off immediately)

Yeah I'm with you, I've always found it weird that the response for revealing an alt has been an instant ban regardless of how active it is, though the fact that a lot of these do turn out to be active multis funneling cash in the end always makes me a bit suspicious when someone is banned.

It's these things that I've committed to playing legit as of the Aether release, despite my stupidity + history with harassment. I'm not very social, and I don't file tickets (if I do, I need to double check emails), so thankfully, I don't draw attention that much. Fingers crossed that putting everything in the past will allow me to slip by, moving forward.

This was an attempted XSS attack. We were able to interrupt the attacker while they were in the middle of probing for vulnerabilities in our site’s defenses.
At this time, we have no reason to believe that player or employee information is compromised by this attempt. If you are concerned about financial information, Flight Rising does not store any of your financial information. All gem purchases are handled by either Paypal or our credit card processor, Braintree.
In the interest of the security of the Flight Rising website and our employees’ well-being, we are keeping the site in the emergency curtains-down maintenance overnight.
