They'd already taken away scratch marks lmao, the rules just didn't reflect that.
Now they're reasonably accurate and people who aren't au fait with Skin Drama won't be surprised when their blatantly 'minor wounds' skins are rejected.

Yeah no more gore, not even scratch marks or battle wounds. At least we still have scars. But I don't mind, I was never a fan of the gore skins or candy gore.

You and the rest of the people in this thread who are apparently incapable of literacy is why the world is going down the shitter. The thread was never about getting leeway in the rules, it was about clarifying unspoken rules.

Umm...

Some people did actually want the rules loosened up. I've seen people say as much. You didn't. Others did. One of the deleted threads of the forums a few were whining that they hoped the site would enforce the rules as were written before, not add new rules.

The general "they" in your post (if you were OP) made it sound like the whole group was throwing a bitchfit to get the rules changed, which is untrue. My apologies if you were referring to a small minority of the community, because your post wasn't specific at all.

And well, looks like it really was a loss, as stuff that was nearly approved is now getting denied entirely. :(

This. I actually had a skin less than 12 hours away from getting approved- after being told from a FIRST submission it was alright, just change some tiny things- but now it's denied completely.

I wanted more S/A staff to help with the backlog, and more clear rules, but now there's more rules.

Oh, there were definitely people who wanted leeway. Sure that wasn't everybody, but there were definitely supporters of the thread who wanted it to result in more leeway.
