i actually kind of feel bad for any petsite that was/is/will be created for the previous/next 10 years or so, because FR has been pretty successful without selling itself out so hard like neopets, and losing its playerbase.
all the other petsites trying to emulate this kickstarter goal / incentives to get people to fund them are just going to be targets for the users here to get more gems for themselves, and once they smell a hint of trouble in the devs/owners or have a seriously unfun playing system, they'll dump the game. (dv was a pretty good case for that which was a pity because the art really is nice but there was a multitude of other problems.)
in a way FR has to do something so drastically bad to have people actually leave (hopefully not), and i hope lorwolf can actually sustain a proper community and playerbase instead of being grounds for cross-site trading.
either that or people just really love dragons a lot and FR hit the motherlode and did hella well with it. i think im just rambling at this point lol

Why would trading be banned? I think a site banning trading would only be hurtful to itself. Every site benefits from being able to trade with FR

I could actually understand a new site banning it for the reason of fairness and to actually have a player base there for the game and not cross site tradability... But it's not likely.

I wish I knew a better game to be invested in but I don’t and I don’t want to leave because it’s been a part of my life for so long but holy fucking shit the staff is garbage. And there’s no fucking way they’re gonna do shit to improve, is there? Shit’s just gonna get more and more bullshit the longer we go and they're never going to get their shit together.

i don't feel like FR has changed much over the past so many years. maybe i'm out of the loop or missing some cues, but i am not aware of how the site or staff has gotten worse - what's gotten bad about it? (genuine question! i haven't seen anything going on with staff aside from announcements)

i spent a small amount of gems on geneing an ugly g1 for fun… then i decided to sell it, someone bought it, and then they tried to sell it for over 10x the amount of gems i sold it for…? i don’t remember how much i sold it for but that’s still a crap move
Can't really suggest games if you're not going to say what you want out of the site both what is there and what isn't. There's not really a lot of up and coming pet games partly because of how this new generation of net users are using things on the internet almost solely through apps and hard to get a browser petsite off the ground as an app first instead of just making an actual game.
