i actually kind of feel bad for any petsite that was/is/will be created for the previous/next 10 years or so, because FR has been pretty successful without selling itself out so hard like neopets, and losing its playerbase.
all the other petsites trying to emulate this kickstarter goal / incentives to get people to fund them are just going to be targets for the users here to get more gems for themselves, and once they smell a hint of trouble in the devs/owners or have a seriously unfun playing system, they'll dump the game. (dv was a pretty good case for that which was a pity because the art really is nice but there was a multitude of other problems.)
in a way FR has to do something so drastically bad to have people actually leave (hopefully not), and i hope lorwolf can actually sustain a proper community and playerbase instead of being grounds for cross-site trading.
either that or people just really love dragons a lot and FR hit the motherlode and did hella well with it. i think im just rambling at this point lol
