Oh my god they're amazing I love them. They are exactly up my alley. I love stupid dumb head empty no thought lizards. I love their big eyes. I love how chunk they are. I love they finally added a gene that gives dragons tusks. And they're not elementally aligned so no one can complain. They're perfect as far as I'm concerned

It might take me a while to find a use for them, myself, but they're hilarious. And that bit in their lore about the sticky gecko wings and them sometimes being caught, frozen, hanging from the ceiling with a shiny grasped in all four other limbs makes for a glorious picture.

Since they enjoy filching shinies for the sheer joy of it, I bet an enterprising ridgeback could soon have an entire gang of little pickpockets working for him, like Fagin from Oliver Twist...

but above all i hope we get dimension/warp on more breeds/moderns because oh my god it is GORGEOUS

I think we almost definitely will because I see that gene becoming very popular, people love the glowy sparkly multicolor genes and I am one such person

Glow/Lumen can turn some "eh" combos into "Holy shit" so it's definitely one of those genes that can save a dragon lol

*nods* I had scried my two that I got and I found a nice combo, but not ones that were anything that would make me want to keep them.

Then I just saw Glow/Lumen mentioned and went and tried it.

We need a tertiary based upon these two genes and the new dragons need firefly, or a glowy dotty look.

The list of primsec genes I want expanded is now Mochlus/Riopa, Glow/Lumen, and Dimension/Warp.

STrike Glow/Lumen from that list.

I do not want that ported to any other breed.

If it is, I might have to break up with Iri/Shim, and become a Glow/Lumen monolair, and I am not sure I can afford it.... (or at least glow/lumen majority lair)

meanwhile i need glass/chalice SO BAD. especially on other ancients. i am a huge irishim fan, and this feels like their second coming. finally, a worthy successor!!!

just! imagine pairing them with capsule terts for literal glass vessel dragons.
imagine glass/bee, for stained glass looks without the sometimes robot-looking vibe that wasp can get.

also. they're just so PRETTY.

Don't get me wrong, I adore the breed, the new genes are epic.

But why the fuck does it still have the generic modern body plan...again?! They could have at least given them bee wings or something smh. I'm glad they were created as they are one of my favorite breeds but this irks me a lot.

we have had a bunch of unconventional body plans across ancients lately, between undertides, auraboas, aethers, cirrus, and (especially) everlux.

while i did spare a thought to whether these guys could have worked as moderns, then i considered how totally obnoxious it would have been for apparel artists to figure out how to adapt stuff to those stubby little legs and oversized heads. thorntails have four legs and two wings, yes, but i love that, because they're ancients, they get to have these adorably goofy exaggerated proportions.

Came back after some of the lag passed so I could scry my new guys and ohmygod I didn't even see the new glowy genes. Yes. That is exactly my vibe. Yes. These creatures are beautiful and this update was catered towards me
