really hoping it's a gecko, i'm so tired of all the bug breeds. i love bugs! i have pet inverts! but it kind of frustrates me that we have barely been getting dragons that are actually... yknow, reptile inspired

regardless, the front end of these dragons will have to really appeal to me, since I'm not very into this preview. alas. on the bright side, if that does turn out to be the case, I'm saved from adding another project to the queue.

I also am feeling Leopard Gecko

I’ve come to the conclusion that what attracts me to a breed is the ratio of wing-to-body, so that’ll probably drive my interest in these bitties. So far I’m not vibing with the ratio shown but I’m open to being pleasantly surprised. I’ll definitely grab a breeding pair to cash in on day 1 hype tho!

Irrelevant since this is a dragon petsim and not a real life fauna petsim. We don’t need more bug dragons. We don’t even need more bug familiars (only exception is if they want to reintroduce the boolean and crash the RMT market a little bit.)

"This thing is dominant so we need more of it" is also stupid. If anything, we need to see less of it since it’s so dominant.

i absolutely adore insects and other "bug"-type critters, but i gotta agree with the above anon that this is an odd stance in the context of a dragon game. you know, what with dragons being a fantasy animal in the first place. (or, to frame it another way, "classic fantasy dragons aren't represented anywhere in the animal kingdom, so no FR breed should be derived from them" would obviously be a nonsense argument.)

i'm pretty sure you're being at least a little tongue-in-cheek, anon, but c'mon now.

Given this one was announced pretty last minute it's unlikely to be a gem breed, they like to give a heads up for gem breeds in advance. But fancy gem genes are still on the table for bitching.

There's at least one person saying that they feel they're being punished for opening their chests last week. I hope they do eventually learn they're not the only main character in the world and it's not all about them.

Yeah, I went to SMR to see the complaints, either about the person who immediately jumped onto the 'make it drop from gathering or give us an alternative way to obtain them!' idea or agreeing with that idea, only to wade into the drama that is currently there.

But, if you look at the suggestion on the forum, most people are saying at least give it time before making that type of suggestion!

jfc the forum brigade has no sense of whimsy or joy. I think it's really charming that they're obtained via chests and at least once the price settles they should remain relatively inexpensive like Fathoms are vs standard treasure MP scrolls.

I broke open a modest amount of rusted chests I had socked away and got two breed scrolls out of them already so they're probably not *that* hard to come by. (LAH is already below the marketplace cache price as well!)
