DA

I prefer this too but for other reasons. It saves so much time and runaround if the offer has a value up front. Also saves the owner getting their hopes up for a decent sale and the potential buyer turning out to be a newbie who has no idea that 20kT is not, in fact, a fair price for an XXY G1 - or scammer trying to bank on the owner being a newbie who doesn't know, too.

I don't usually mind requests but I have definitely had some... interesting interactions. IMO people should be more willing to ask for value help if they're genuinely unsure of what a fair offer might be. There are plenty of people able and willing to dole out advice.

Wholeheartedly agree. I try my best to make my profile seem approachable and encourage people to offer without fear of 'lowballing', but I don't remember the last time I received an offer instead of a "how much" which makes me a bit sad. Because I'm super willing to accept a much lower price than what I'd consider ideal for the dragon if the person puts it on the table first.

For "how much", I tend to respond with the ideal price upfront. I guess this scares people off since they don't respond most of the time despite my assurances I'm down to haggle. I don't think my pricing is outrageous either, think 300g for a super cute 3/3 pastel g1 with matchy eyes.

Also, seriously the "this is my dream color combination" on a dragon of a common coloration that has 5 twins on the AH that is valuable for an entirely different reason like id or being a glitch dragon...
