I have Ehlers Danlos, so my tissue is hella floppy- and one thing folks don't tell you is that coughing/sneezing (even laughing too hard!!) can make you leak, and it sucks so bad.
There is no shame in getting liners until you recover - which i hope is soon!
Also- invest in a humidifier. My bestie is taking a long time to recover from covid because of the constant coughing, but we got a humidifier and it's helped SO much. My own allergies have been better, and my skin's thanked me with less chapped lips, hangnails etc. (There's a nice one on Amazon that has JUST enough smartphone use to set up auto options without ai or any bs and it's been amazing- it's by Levoit!)
A bonus: there's these little cleaner filters you can get for them to help reduce build up, odor, microbes etc- and they come in many shapes- i have some that are shaped like little sharks, and they add just a little bit of whimsy to something mundane.

I'll definitely look into that! I live in an area that's generally pretty humid, but I wonder if our heating system is removing the humidity. 🤔
