I was thinking their post felt off (wordy but with little substance)—it being AI makes a lot of sense imo. The fact that they claimed they deleted their old account seemed sus but I originally wrote that off as them misremembering, though now I guess it could just be a byproduct of using chatGPT or whatever.

i do get where youre coming from but you can never underestimate the power of an incredibly wordy individual who, by their own admission, has not slept and is probably in some level of emotional distress. im not about to armchair diagnose this person but i do see a lot of very uncomfortable similarities between their behavior and my own experiences with friends/family who were in the depths of a manic episode or similar mental health crises.
... This makes me glad all I do is buy shit I don't need on site when manic, rather than get blocked by people/banned. I can resell/yeet idiot purchases.
I have a close and loving relationship with em-dashes and I would not have used more than four in this amount of writing. Much less a set in every paragraph. So even if OP wrote it on their own, I'm pretty confident they used AI to edit it.
I - as someone who frequently uses dashes and italics - have no idea why you'd claim that.

Really? I probably wouldn't use as many as OP either, but I've definitely seen some very dash-happy writers on the internet like this way before generative AI was a thing. Some people are just somewhat clunky and repetitive in their writing, especially when it's a long comment and/or they're in distress.

Actually, considering the way they spoke and the inability to delete an account, my bet is a multiaccount bam. That account is a day old.
I don't know if I attribute em dashes and italics solely with ai (as a writer who uses em dashes, I hate this argument) but the pattern of speech used in the post definitely screams ai to me or at least edited with ai

They were mentioned (sort of) in AAA yesterday or the day before, someone said that their posts, lore, and art is AI generated, and linked them to everyone who asked. I talked to the original user who discovered it and they said they told Zarathusa they can't be using AI on site, and they bitterly took down their art/lore shop. I think this post is them being bitter that they got "gatekept" out of grifting off of AI art and writing. Their writing style was extremely similar (though they cleaned out most posts after getting called out), and they also did a similar ending to their posts with "—Zarathusa" at the end.

If the post is really about letting AI ""artists"" into the community, it suddenly makes sense to me. It also makes sense why they decided to vague-rant about it instead of saying what their real problem was. Very few would agree with their actual point, but probably more will agree that the community has bad vibes in some ways.

The real tell is the way the post lists things. A lot of em dashes, listings like attribute one, two, and three, and breaking the post out into wordy bullet points and then going back to paragraphs, all on their own, are not sus. But together? That's how AI writes. I'm guessing they fed an initial draft into an AI and had it clean their words up. A lot of people do that because they think AI is smarter than they are.

that said i fully believe that the op of that thread was indeed complaining about ai not being allowed. that tracks given the vagueness about "creativity" because this community usually has no qualms about making extremely specific complaints about the site and the devs.

I haven't really been active on FR for a while. I've been surprised to see the player count be 5000-8000 users. Back when I played, it was like 4000 users max. Today I checked the website around 20:00 FR Time and saw that there were over 11,000 users on. However, when I checked the active player count, I saw that it was over 10,000 visitors and only 1500 active users. I feel like that number is pretty low. Is FR dying and the amount of active players actually decreasing?
You can set your account to invisible and it gets treated as another visitor btw.
always had this user blocked over anti-LGBT and anti-BLM posts but they leave and come back periodically to post in FRD. I think a lot of their inflammatory posts get deleted but I have some here

The site is being swarmed by AI scrapers right now. A lot of those guests are bots. The actual number of people online hasn't decreased.
That would make a lot of sense. The forum post does ooze that weird sense of entitlement and hurt that AI users tend to have when they get told that generating slop with their favorite program is not the same thing as making art themselves.

Small clarification, there won't exactly be a penalty for this. The skin image will be removed if mods consider it inappropriate, but other than that there won't be any harsh punishment, especially just for the buyers
