The site is being swarmed by AI scrapers right now. A lot of those guests are bots. The actual number of people online hasn't decreased.

it seems part of the normal ebb and flow of the site: there's an activity that brings everyone online (festivals notn, dom fight with huge public buys payouts, new releases like the cirrus), and then it quiets down a bit until the next big event
