What are they supposed to do, exactly? Just use random bits of whatever they find? They run the risk of badly misrepresenting something - see, Beastclans, Auraboa. Not include anything else ever from Asiatic cultures? That’d be really sad, to just exclude a big chunk of culture as a source.
I don’t think they’re posting as a “look at us, we’re being so good”. I think they’re saying “we’ve had complaints in the past, so we want to be super transparent regarding our decisions about the design process, cultural research, and pricing scheme.”
