I'm so curious how you've been around since 2014 and somehow managed to never hear about when Mulch was banned. It felt like such a big thing at the time lol, half the site had an opinion about it

Yes, in the FR forum thread that was linked elsewhere in this thread, Rhea directly talks about being involved. She was the one using the name and people reported it and got it banned because of her using it.

I definitely think it was a Bitch Eating Crackers moment, that only happened because so many people disliked her and wanted to find any reason to get her in trouble, and the fact that the admins reversed the ban after shows that. I don't remember many instances of a banned name being reinstated.

I will be honest, I kind of get why some people were upset about the implications of Mulch, considering the cycle of unpleasant fodder names one of the mulch war users went through back then, but that's why you don't sell fodder unnamed. There may be assholes petty enough to scroll for shitty fodder names, but that's not that likely.

It’s one of those names that, in company with a clan’s lore and using them for fodder, could be an issue. It’d look fine in a garden-themed lair tho.

Yea. There's nothing wrong with it in general. It's just when it was on the heels of fodder names implying deaths and sacrifices that got banned...
