SA. https://www.reddit.com/r/FRwrongfulAcctClosure/comments/x68pvv/i_filed_a_complaint_with_the_better_business/ Filing a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT? Because you have to start over with a new account for DRAGON PNGS?
This whole subreddit is kinda funny, I have played a lot of sim/pet games and I never played one where you where allowed to have more than one account.
Like is it not that obvious that is is kinda the rule of the thumb that you only can have one account, and people act then all confused and dumb about it, like no one told them.
I don't expect people to read through the entire TOS of a pet website (but tbh you should maybe sit down and read the TOS of a site before you sign up just saying), but apparently pressing ctrl+f and typing in "account" and search for it is above everyone's IQ now.
The only exception I can think of to the "one account, period" rule is Neopets, and their alt account allowance has always been "you can have alts to have more pet slots and get literally no other gameplay-altering benefits or it's against TOS" as a grandfathered-in plastered-on solution from when there was a hard-cap of four slots per account.
Yeah, Neopets is the only game I have played that has the multiple account allowance, though I have heard that I think Lionden allows for a side account linked to your main, though I have never played that game, so have no clue what is involved.
It is that reason why it always sort of mystified me when people go 'I had no clue multiple accounts weren't allowed! I haven't seen a game that didn't allow multiple accounts!' because just about every site I have played has had the no multiple account rules, and even none game sites often have this rule. (there are those that don't have this rule, but many of the ones I have seen tend to)
The only pet sim I've played that allowed for multiple accounts was WolfPlay, but you could have a max of three total accounts per household AND the accounts could not benefit one another in any manner, including buying/selling items, gifting, etc.
I am also always puzzled by people who claim that FR is the exception, not the norm, when it comes to allowing for multiple accounts... though I tend to assume that it's a way to try and get sympathy because they couldn't bother to read the rules.
Gaiaonline did not have an account limit as far as I'm aware, you were allowed to have as many 'mule accounts' as you wanted. I had over 15 at one point (I thiiink I don't really remember, definitely way more than is reasonably feasible for the average teen to manage) simply because I liked making different characters to dress up with different themes and played with them like action figures lol.
...But I don't know if Gaia really counts as a 'petsim' per se. Even so they seem to be exception, not the rule. Everything else I've played that's not some sort of MMO has limited to 1 account and are quite firm on that.
DA You don't even have to play petsims - the puzzle maker site I use allows either anonymous solving OR only one registered account with all the perks that come with it, so it's not like 'one account' rule is a FR invention.
Oh, I misread a little. There won't be popcorn because in general, they don't talk about why an account is banned, so they'll just keep closing the threads.
Gotta say holding onto a gripe for three years is... a long time.
