It's a two-part statement: "I feel like there's no point in me entering —" (subjective emotions; should be met with compassion; probably best solved by Staff adding more incentives for participation) "— because only Staff's Favorite Contest Veterans win anyway" (objectively, provably false statement; demoralizes others and breeds unfair resentment towards past winners; should be countered and not alowed to spread)
