This wasn't close to an unplanned battle, though. Did they flip even once the last day? It seems more like a couple bored droplets with some extra cash. If all of water dom wanted to do a surprise battle, it would become obvious quickly.

two flights conquesting is a battle. and frankly if theres multiple merc groups confirming that they got multi-receiver orders from droplets, who are trying to keep their sudden shift to a conquest secret, i dont know how else that can be interpreted. even if it wasnt an official decision from waterdom orgs it still makes me think that theres at least a large, or rich, portion of water that likes being opportunistic with the flight ratios. which is exactly why flights are hesitant to officially battle in the first place

The order my flight got had multiple receivers including brit and was called an order from Water not a private order. that doesn't fully rule out dom individuals having fun but a dom org receiving makes it look more organized.

Oh I understand the salt then. I didn't realize there was a difference between flight and personal orders. Especially so if brit was one of the buyers.

Even if water didn't call for a battle, hopefully they realized how it would look.

I am in the water dom channels on the water disc and it was a spontaneous organized effort
Brit started a thread for ordering mercs and there is an in flight prize pool

(Thread OP)

Thank you, these are the kinds of details I was hoping for

Agreed with the anons above that this is kind of surprising to see against Nature of all flights. I'll be keeping an eye on the board next time Water is profit pushing

+1

I did see the merc orders, I did not see the board flip. It was the only thing that intrigued me in years, and people are whispering about it like it's a big scandal, when really NOTHING happened. Boring! Dom battles are too gently planned imo. There's no real competition to follow.

They do have to be somewhat planned and respected though. If the community was completely lawless, Earth would steamroll every single week for the sweet bonuses.

... Actually, I want to see that. It would be funny. I want to see if staff would rebalance the game or keep pretending its fair.

Planned sure, respected is just a matter of courtesy. The dom system is generally incredibly boring and more spontaneous stuff would be fun, but it doesn't happen very often if at all due to the resources it usually requires.

it also doesn't happen often because everyone throws a bitchfit when it does. water or brit ordering 500 dragons from a few flights is clearly for an in-flight incentive, but now everyone is losing their mind about water trying to sabotage or steal nature's god-given right to dom or something.

this. there's no proof there was anything malicious behind it and it's embarrassing that a gossip post from smr of all things started this here.

smart money says it's just a bunch of butt-hurt plague flight members trying to stir up bad feelings against water again.

this is so funny LOL. feels more like oversensitive droplets projecting, more than anything else. a hit dog will holler

lol I ain't heard that phrase in a hot minute lol. My granny used to say that to us whenever one of us kids would hit the other and then raise a fuss when retaliation happened.
