Site lag conspiracy theory

/j + I have to preface this with a disclaimer that I am the least software-savvy person alive, so I am speaking with absolutely no expertise on this.

Is site lag getting unbearable for anyone else? For me it's happening across multiple devices, regardless of if I'm on my home wifi, cell data, VPN activated or not, etc. Even loading the little item pics in Baldwin has become a slog for me to the point where if it wasn't a fest (thankfully I'm only brewing currency rn) I don't think I'd have the patience to do any transmuting. Just waiting for my own lair to load has taken many minutes of my life from me. Yes I'm the one choosing to waste minutes of my life staring at half-loaded pages of a dragon site...

& my completely baseless conspiracy theory is, does the new effects system have something to do with this? I imagine adding a bunch of constant animations to the site has some sort of knock on effect. Please prove me wrong in the comments I genuinely want to know + please tell me I'm not the only one

AFAIK effects work in some sort of user-side way (not tech-savvy please correct me with proper terminology later) so basically they should cause any system strain only when you're actively playing a dragon (or multiple) with effects. Usually the culprit in lag like this is internet providers but otherwise IDK. Try cleaning your cache?

No, lag's been getting bad for me across devices long before the effects.

same here, especially when i try to view my sold tab in the AH, it takes ages to load for some reason

my internet is usually snappy and fast etc. so something on FRs backend must be borked

I've been having issues regarding specifically familiar bonding. For months, so it's not the effects. Rest of the site works fine, but I go to familiar bond and I will get a lot of slowness and lagging and freezing (including my device itself, since it'll fuck with my music app sometimes), with it often taking multiple clicks to actually bond with a familiar, really wish I knew why it kept happening. Doesn't matter what's in the dragon's bio, either.
