I care a bit, but I don't personally think it's the most important consideration.
The thing is, these are player-made; staff doesn't really have any control over the ratio of submissions. I haven't gone through the submission thread, so I can't say whether or not I believe there were some overlooked gems for modern breeds, but in general terms, I'd rather staff prioritize chosing nice, well executed concepts over sticking rigidly to a "one winner per breed" rule or something like that.
I guess you could say I am slightly disappointed, because of my personal preference for moderns, but not really greatly upset or blaming anyone.
My issue is that we only got one Nocturne skin... and that's a shadow breed. I'm sure there were more applicable skins in the contest thread. But no, we apparently needed three Gaoler skins instead of Nocturnes getting two like Veils did. I only really wish they'd give some preference to the breeds belonging to the flight over the others; doesn't really feel like they do that sometimes.
I counted 5 Noc entries and I honestly understand why the other 4 weren’t chosen. They’re not bad but probably dont meet staff standards. Nocs arent a popular breed so not a lot of people are making skins for them and that’s a fact. Tbh as a Noc lover I appreciate that Myth made a Noc skin so we could have ONE this Trickmurk
Huh, weird, I thought there'd be more than that. That being said, I still feel like Gaolers didn't need three, lol, it could have still gone to another breed. But then again, I'm of the mind that no breed should get 3 for a fest unless one, it's one of the flight's breeds, or two, it's the first fest after the breed was released since not everyone can afford UMAs.
