Yeah that's why I think aiming egg jokes at people you don't know in a generally public space is a bad call.
It's fine in smaller spaces with folks you at least have a baseline knowledge of, because then if it's not well received, it can be discussed and moved on from.
But public forums, at strangers... not a good call. Time and place.
