interesting quote from one of those posts: "We will not be fulfilling our outstanding art orders as we cannot. If you want us to be able to, you need to help our family."

they also say as much onsite, on their main art thread that has 3(?) taken comm slots: "I cannot open any more slots or fulfill my outstanding orders. [...] There is nothing we can do about it, nor will we ever be able to."

which makes it really eyebrow raising how they've just opened foddart slots in shadow's dom push. 10 slots for, in their words, adopts made without a gene template which seems pretty inadvisable given everything else here.

i really hope people whove been waiting on old comm slots can get finished art or refunds. i also have serious doubts on if AC actually intends on finishing their foddart comms, too.

if no refunds were offered, this might fall under "bad faith trades/scams." staff doesn't promise they'll refund what you spent, but they don't allow people to get screwed over all the same.

NAYRT but i looked into AC's foddart timeline a bit. here's what i found.

their shop from shadow's previous foddart, in november (3 months ago):
https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/art/3373913/1#post_57841493
https://web.archive.org/web/20250216195443/https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/art/3373913/1#post_57841493

on november 18th, they posted an update saying they'd be moving their outstanding orders into their main adoptable shop queue due to health reasons:
https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/art/3373913/21#post_57902817
https://web.archive.org/web/20250216200158/https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/art/3373913/21#post_57902817

as an aside, here's their post history in the foddart thread, which goes into some of those reasons:
https://www1.flightrising.com/search/forums?term=&poster=AstralCrescent&topicid=3373913&forum=&when=0&sort=recent&submit=Search+Forums&page=1

their main adoptable shop states the following in the Rules post:
"NO Refunds. We are disabled."
"we are fairly sure we can get a piece of art done within a month at Maximum. Any set-backs or delays will be clearly communicated."

https://web.archive.org/web/20250216202624/https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/adopt/3332655/1#post_56652199

the last post in that thread is the one mentioned by the AYRT, about AC not being able to fulfill their orders, on december 29th:
https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/adopt/3332655/21#post_58146833
https://web.archive.org/web/20250216202934/https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/adopt/3332655/21#post_58146833

back in the previous foddart thread - AC's partner finished and delivered the outstanding orders for them on february 6th (just over a week ago):
https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/art/3373913/25#post_58401112
https://web.archive.org/web/20250216201729/https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/art/3373913/25#post_58401112

i'm very curious about when the most recent call for shadow foddart artists went out, and how that lines up with the timeline. it's totally understandable for health issues and other life stuff to cause delays, but the circumstances around the delivery of their 4 orders from the previous foddart and the fact that they have 10 (!!) slots open for this foddart... definitely a strange combination.

Can I say this level of lack of keeping an eye on foddart artists that they let something like little adoptables take 3 months and still let the user do 10 slots of foddart after cancelling multiple commissions with a no refund policy makes me feel like I should avoid their thread?

AYRT - part of why i'm wondering about when the call for shadow foddart artists went out is that it could imply AC was asked (or just felt obligated to, idk) to complete their outstanding orders before setting up shop in the current thread.

i generally agree that the thread runner(s) for foddart should do a better job of making sure artists are held to the flight's standards for communication/delivery (plague does a good job of this, iirc), but i wouldn't avoid the entire thread because of it. the other artists don't deserve to be punished for one artist's behavior, y'know what i mean?

This is mostly me being petty but I just want to say that I got ghosted by a Shadow foddart artist a couple of years ago or so, I reached out to the thread runner and they didnt reply to me either lol. Kept my distance from Shadow foddart ever since. The person running Shadow foddart at the time is different from the current one but they are still active in Shadow dom.

I'm in Shadow, but not part of Shadom discord, so if anything happened on different dates in the server I can't tell you but in forum itself:

The first call for trickmurk foddart sign ups was Feb 7th, AC signed up on the 8th, and they were told to reserve a post in the foddart thread on the 11th. So sign ups were right after those outstanding orders were delivered.

When they signed up, AC mentioned they have a "new productivity system" they were working on and baring a natural disaster they should be able to get any new orders out quick. Foddart runner makes no comment about the adopts or AC's previous orders aside from the little veilspuns being cute.

Screenshot of the date and their productivity comment https://imgur.com/a/q8jHzUU If that doesn't work let me know, my internet is being a butt.
