Interesting. Trigon & Arella are real characters in the Teen Titan/DC Comics universe, but I'm not sure why the weird momson overtones are in their lore here? Afaik it's not present in the comics.

My memory of the OG Teen Titans show is hazy, but I'm positive Arella and Trigon were estranged. This reads like a bad fanfic.

i mean... the dragon bio pretty explicitly says "She became Trigons mate, but then quickly acted more like his mother than his mate. Even if Trigon doesn't like this" and at the bottom it straight up says "mate/son"? even if the characters canonically are unrelated they went out of their way to make them be

i was also assuming anons were talking about that, or the fact that it says "a little red and black hatchlings approached her and instantly asked her, if she wanted to become his mate."

it's still..... weird. the text gives the impression that this dragon raised a young Trigon and is more of a motherly figure.

i’m not trying to debate the ‘morality’ of the not quite incest (since debating it is against arr rules anyway), only saying that the entire bio seemed inappropriate for fr. allowing the ‘mate/son’ reference and an adult-hatchling relationship to stay but making them take out the reference to SA is odd, if that’s what happened. though they might have just acted on that part initially because intentionally avoiding the swear filter is explicitly against the rules.
