g1 auctions

Very minor complain. Most of a vent, I guess, but I hate that instead of flat sales half the players want to run auctions to sell their stupid ungened nocturne xyz g1s they batch hatch all year long now.

I hate auctions. They're stressful, busy, and overly complicated because every auctioner has different rules. I wouldn't mind as much if it was automated but as it stands now it's a drag.

What's so hard about picking a price and sticking to it? <:D Keep the auctions for the really good, valuable dragons. Not your basic g1s.

Problem: Your normal dragon is someone else's amazing project. A g1 dragon doesn't have to be a double to be valuable. XYZ can be worth selling.

And the number of dragons that someone decides is only worth a small price just to get reauctioned for a premium is ridiculous.

If auctions bother you and there is no buyout, just bid what you think is a fair price and walk away until it ends. You win some, you lose some, but not nearly as stressful.

This is what you guys want to believe.

But you take a look at auctions and half of the basic ungened xyz (like, say, swamp/murk/orca: not entirely fodder, but not half the playerbase would like it in their lair, but because it's snowbelly, and two colors are close range, owners think it can be valuable) do not sell, or for sb prices, or there were only 2-3 bids on them. The other half of dragons find no homes.

Why spam the auction forums and force people to go through specific rules and make them wait and stress for prices as ridiculous as 15-50g? AND possibly lose money hiring an auctioner to do that thing for you? Put that thing on the AH and advertise in dragon sales.

I feel very much like "this meeting could have been an email" about g1 auctions.
This ungened xyz level 1 with no art or lore g1 auction could have been an AH flat sale.

And I've seen more users get screwed over by doing flat sales than auctions. It's easy to run an auction on your own. Most auctioneers don't even take low value auctions.

Also, most sellers I've ever seen will take offers on dragon that don't sell. I have bought a number of dragons by saying "can I get that one that had no bids for (price).

Fortunately the "that dragon isn't good enough" view is not how the forums rules are enforced and everyone can do it freely.

I don't want to keep 30 dragons sitting around in my lair forever because I priced them wrong. Auctions are WAY more efficient and get more attention.

Tbh I hate pricing g1’s so I usually just hatch until I have enough to put up a penny auction. It keeps it easier for me and most dragons get taken (either as someone’s project or as cheap 1g fodder).

Penny auctions are a great way to handle them. Anyone can run one, and if it's good, people will fight for it.

Penny auctions are usually low SB auction. 1 gems, 10 gems, or similar. If it's a good dragon, the wars can be great for the seller

Auction with a tiny minimum bid increase - 1g each or so -starting all dragons at fodder and I think with no autobuy
