They don’t seem to understand that exalting is what leads to dominance, which indicates to me they’re not quite mature enough to be on the site, but I’m not sure how to alert mods a user is probably under 13. Or how they’d even judge it
I took a look at one of their dragons and it had something like 'exalters should die' or similar.
Yes, they are young, but honestly, if they are *that* young, they do NOT need to be on FR, they *really* need to learn not to use things like that as hyperbole on a public website (because, in their case, it could be hyperbole, if they truly are very young, but that doesn't mean it is all hyperbole)
I also would argue that it is NOT 'harmless' because that type of language should NOT be 'normalized' or deemed 'okay' when talking to strangers. I don't really care how young the user is.
That said, I feel this is a case for the admins to handle, not users. (except through reporting)
Fr’s age limit is 13 and a lot of Internet-raised post-COVID kids have terrible online manners. Where are they supposed to learn?
Yeah, they’re young dumb and cringe, and someone needs to tell them to not talk about dying/killing people. But that’s really consistent with what I see and hear from big popular YouTubers and also the mainstream gaming community.
My point is that if they are under 13, then FR isn't the place for them, both for FR's sake (as it is a legal thing for them) and for BP's sake (as they could be more likely to get into the 'wrong' group, IE some of the people that have had salt about them, and simply not knowing better)
Yes, they have to learn somewhere, but FR isn't the place for that, nor is the internet itself.
It is that mainstream gaming community that makes me say they *do not need* to be where they can be exposed to that. I am a long time gamer, and I *hate* parts of the online gaming community and how normalized certain things are, and any pushback against it tends to be framed as people being 'prudes' or 'against fun' because they don't like certain actions or having slurs being tossed at them.
However, I also agree that if they are really young, since the community can't do anything but report and try to intimate that they seem to be too young to be online, probably shouldn't have more about them posted.
