Bro, have you read anything? Feels like talking to a brick wall just reading your comments💀 Maybe some want Elisabluh banned but I think most just want the items rereleased???

out of curiosity why is it such an issue if someone is banned who is malicious to the community = )

why is everyone arguing with me then. I agree with re-releasing the items and I have been saying that repeatedly. Maybe they're bored and have to take their anger out somewhere

if they're a malicious person and breaking rules by treating others on-site with malice? no issue. If they're being interpreted as malicious because they're doing something people don't like but are well within their right to do, and taking on an annoying attitude but ultimately not targeting anyone or breaking rules, there's a problem.

People probably keep arguing with you because you keep replying, if you are tired of it then perhaps it would be best to take a step back for your sake. Arguing on behalf of someone who won't even thank you is probably not good for your mental health anyways.

so you see the face of a dog in a wooden plank and think it's a real living dog?

I'm sorry but becoming too comfortable just assuming things about people on the internet isn't gonna get you anywhere. need I remind you this conversation is about a pixel dragon game with a fake economy

I don't have an issue with them making Y1 items more obtainable. But they should also prevent people from maliciously manipulating the market. Hope that helps!!

Anon you're so weird. And we're apparently the freaks for being emotional about a pixel dragon game.

eh, it's not a huge deal. I defend people not because I want or need their gratitude, but because I think salt spaces (and the on-site forums!!) have a tendency to go way overboard just... condemning people. For things that it's understandable to be mad about but are inconsequential in the grand scheme of things and shouldn't spark this kind of vitriol and public callouts. I'm not even here to try change everyone's minds, I just want to put my point out here so that this whole thing wouldn't remain a one-sided circlejerk. I don't mind explaining myself further.

Disliking someone and finding more and more reasons to do so to the point where you want them kicked out or made to suffer, even if the subject is literally just some pixel item, is like an internet sport. Most of the time I don't even say anything. But this particular case is so wildly, wildly blown out of proportion. Like I said before. Some of you really need to reign in your feelings about this little golden gremlin.

Tbh if that's how you feel about salt spaces then you probably shouldn't take part in them. This person in particular was called out for her snarky remarks and rude replies that she constantly made as well as her behavior. She herself sort of fueled the fire. I think if she had said nothing then no one would be as upset about the situation as they are. It's kind of the Streisand Effect happening in real time here on FR.

I understand wanting to come in from the other point of view but sometimes that's just not necessary or should be defended as heavily. In this case I don't know if I would personally want to be seen defending this person. I don't think she, or anyone deserves to be harassed at all but I think you can see why people are not happy with her?

Ofc there are times when people take things too far but I don't think things would have escalated as they did without her fanning the flames. Your replies also sort of added fuel to the fire. This thread might even be dead by now had you just simple let things go. Personally I couldn't give a shit about that stupid familiar, it's ugly to me and I don't want one but it's understandable why people are upset with her actions around them.

This mentality is why monopolies IRL who defraud millions of Americans with price gouging haven't had their CEOs rightfully locked up. Chipotle and Krogers C-Suite has been found literally saying they jack up prices bc they can. Price-fixing is fraud period, FR and IRL, and ahem "white-collar crime" not being viewed the same or even worse as mugging someone or cursing people out in public settings is why shit sucks sm today. You have fallen for the Big PharmaFoodTech propaganda and are now applying your broken logic to pixel game

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!! You fundamentally misunderstand what a monopoly is. I would say please educate yourself all snarky but I hate when other people do that, so.

Item ownership = market share. For instance Standard Oil was broken up because they owned too much of the market share, but they didn't own anything close to all of the oil. Tons of it was sitting under peoples' land, was already bought and sitting in middleman warehpuses, etc. It's only that the only ot near-only FIRST-HAND SELLER in the market was SOil. Still a monopoly

So monopolies are not just when someone has the entirety of ownership of an item. They are even not just when someone has the entirety of ~market share~, which she damn near does, since the vast majority of the other light sprites are Not-In-Market. However! Being a monopoly does not just comprise this, but ALSO comprises what's called anticompetitive behavior. Basically what the name says, preventing "competition", a la people making a better version of the product or a cheaper version of the product. This was an issue just recently IRL in the US with inhalers in the US costing $200-$500 because of bogus patents preventing other companies from making cheaper/generic versions of the product, but fortunately this was rectified by the FTC and now inhalers only cost $35, which is a several-times profit as inhalers cost less than $10 to even make. Another example would be how Apple makes Android text messages have shitty photos and green text messages, when really the Android photos are high quality and Apple shittifies them through messages on purpose so people don't want to buy an "inferior" Android.

Elisabluh is acting similarly. She is buying up all the product so cheaper versions of it cannot be distributed. This is still anticompetitive behavior and STILL a monopoly

uhh not really? companies irl exploit people who are struggling and dying and have little choice other than to pay the inflated prices of necessities. in a dragon browser game that is Not Happening and Will Never Happen. A petsite player overpricing a funny animal picture is not comparable to the CEO of fucking Chipotle
