An important update:

Due to a specific person being a complete child, comments are going to be screened by default.

This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained.

(This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post any doxxing attempts unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff/authorities.)

Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.

(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

The staff have not banned that user though so I doubt that they were the ones to take it off the ah.

Apparently, they've said very different things about how they got the scroll to different people.

Total instinctual statement here, but it seems like a side account to me. No activity from when the account was made until this summer. The Lorwolf they link seems like it exists just for cross-site. Overall just. Odd.

I suspect it was them showing off/flexing, then realizing "oh shit, now people are questioning me."

I have seen it before. I despise that style of snipe guard. Was going to go to bed, and someone triggered the snipe guard on everything and kept me up for the duration of the snipe guard period for them to SB a mediocre dragon.

They got banned for multi-accounting but claimed it was their sibling's account. However, a lot of things weren't adding up. They stated this in the CSTM server.

I still can for some reason so I don't think they've been banned...yet

They 100% said different things to different people - I have not heard of anyone getting back any DM replies from them either since they sent the "DM me for questions" message.

I still can! Maybe they were frozen for a moment during investigation? Is there any chance you were logged out in that window? I know I've scared myself by doing that before ^^;

Honestly, kind of a silly move on their part. Obviously staff has tabs on valuable items, regardless, because they're common targets for RMT. But players wouldn't know or have their eyes on it unless they did that

if it's frozen, it's a comment thread the admins don't want to continue for community safety reasons. leave it for dead.

It could be a game of telephone, but all of what I have seen is:

Several days before they posted the imp scroll, they said in XYZ1 that their friend may get an unbred G1 imp by trading art. They talked about this very much as an imp, and not them getting a scroll. They said the friend may... Raffle off the imp/give it away? Why would you do art worth thousands of dollars for something you don't actually want? The messages are still up

Once they got the imp scroll, they said that they themselves did art for it. I saw people in a few discords say that they did get replies to DMs, but the type of art they did varied with each person who heard from them, and was very inconsistent. I'm not going to post all of the different things they've claimed they did for the scroll, just in case they told each person something different and me saying what was shared leads them to know who shared the messages.

People who DMed them later got no reply/they seem offline. A few things about their discord activity lead me to believe that it's a side discord account that they log out of/log in just when they see something about them, or apparently when they pull a stunt for attention.

Ultimately, my theory is that this is a side a rich player made to use for questionable activity. RMT to be blunt. It was created in January with minimal use. Their main account may have been banned or begun to come under fire/suspicion shortly before summer this year, or they were gearing up to buy the scroll, so the account suddenly began being used. There's no art profile linked anywhere, art in bios, etc, and with no one posting on the forums looking for art for an imp scroll, the whole situation of them finding and trading privately for a scroll seems very suspicious, and like a coverup.

I'd bet money that they always use a VPN.

Staff nuked their account, must have been the first thing they did when they came into work Monday morning. RIP imp scroll.

Betting they stopped the defense and logging in when staff banhammered them.

I think it would be very funny if under the reason for banning them staff just put “you know what you did”

Account gone! What a moron to brag about it like that. I guess you do have to be a specific type of attention-seeking idiot to have the money to buy an Imp scroll and not even try to keep it under wraps.

Aaaand they're gone, and they've taken other users down with them! Hope they get their chargeback, that was over really quick.

I'm one of the anons that mentioned being able to like them- and I just wanted to say I no longer can, so it struck sometime after I looked at their page.
