No proof, but someone on the saltmine said they started a "rescue", bought a dragon from a pride hatchery and labeled the dragon in its profile an asylum patient receiving a memory wipe.
With likes gone and a rescue tab with a single dragon with a blank profile that was from a pride hatchery that puts stuff in the profiles...

I saw that dragon, that was definitely the bio. I thought about reporting it, but since it didn't specifically SAY that it was conversion therapy (even though that was obviously what it was) I figured staff wouldn't care. the mushroom apparel was "therapeutic mushrooms" lol
Well, my bet is they looked at the paper trail. The user probably had strikes from the homophobia on the forums. Labeling a dragon from a pride hatchery like that, there's not much else it could be.

I’d love to know what criteria those two are using for malware, just to get a better idea on what’s tripping them and if it’s something serious but subtle or if it’s just an over sensitive filter. Is it that you can upload/download images? Is there metadata? My curiosity knows no bounds.

While I agree with pre-naming dragons, I checked out the hatchery and it looks like this dragon was pre-named (listed in the available dragons as "Hymenaeus"). Unfortunately, "renaming scrolls are cheap" goes both ways. :/

Fuck, you're right. I feel really bad for the hatchery owner now. Do staff not revert the name back to the previous one in cases like this where the name was changed to something offensive? For some reason I thought they'd do that but I guess not.
Ngl, it's beyond my scope of knowledge. I used a few scanners, and this was the general consensus:

they usually just reset it to unnamed, or very occasionally rename the dragon to something more positive, but if they don't know what it means or why it's offensive, they won't know to act on it. that's why you also should report the name and explain why it's bad.
I think they can do it the case of harassment, if the parent's owner says something. Not sure why they didn't here

Due to a specific person being a complete jack ass, on new posts, anonymous comments are going to be screened by default.
This is only temporary, and I apologize for the inconvenience- this is going to be a pain in the ass for me, too, but multiple people have come forward about fears of doxxing, and this is the only way to make sure any doxxing is contained. (This basically will force the doxxer to make a DW account to post doxxing unscreened, and will let me more reliably report them to DW staff.)
Again, I apologize, and will be working to unscreen comments as fast as possible, but I'm only one person.
(Vasemod has had some personal issues come up, so I am the only mod atm. Please bear with me until this bit of annoyance has passed.)

yep thats me (froginthebag). can confirm i’m just an idiot, unfortunately! got a suspension and you can bet these guys are getting nuked when/if i get my account back. Blocking me is fair game (believe me i get it, my grandma’s from lapland and had her entire life destroyed because of the nazis in lapland), not gonna justify myself because there’s no use in that. cheers
