The market crashed at LW's release because people that would normally liquidate over the course of 6-8 months were suddenly liquidating thousands and thousands of eggs at once for cross-site trades. Since then, it hasn't recovered because so many were injected back into the supply so quickly.
I know people have sited 'oh, covid grinding!' as the cause, but no, because then the same phenomenon would've happened in 2020-2022 (which it didn't; this is a historic low for this time of year), and people have also cited 'well people know to invest so now they're useless' but again, while prices haven't hit as high as the first 1-3 years, they have still consistently reached 250-260g+ yearly by late summer every single of the last few years, and they were at 240g the day before LW launch. They then crashed to 225g in the first couple days of LW cross-site trades, and haven't really rebounded since (probably not solely due to LW, but I'm not sure the other factors; maybe others losing confidence in their investments and choosing to liquidate?)

oh my god the person who won last week's wildclaw ruined it. it was such a gorgeous, disgustingly pestilent plague monster, and this person turned it into a boring brown mess. they didnt deserve that wildclaw. this is such a disgrace.

For Runestones it also helps that you make words with the tiles you flip, like fire-pillar, venom-water, etc., also saying the stuff out loud somehow helps. I haven't yet cracked the 50k yet but was several times very close. I tend to panic at the end always lol

Not salt, but I just found out from a friend that not every flight has their Dom Bank's numbers available for viewing. How do you know if your donations are actually going towards it, then?
Anyone play any good games recently? I've been playing the hell out of Hardspace: Shipbreaker and Baldurs Gate II but im going to be off work for a few days next week due to surgery and could use some less intensive recs, thanks in advance!
ayrt, strongly agree that they'd have to up the points requirement noticably if they decided to make it cumulative. I'm a bit biased though because I'm a fan of the cumulative achievements in general, they encourage me to do something other than just G&G - I've gotten back into Tidal Trouble recently and it's been good fun.

Stardew Valley is the best idle game for any platform, I will never not recommend it. (Switch, ios, android, PC- PC is best bc you can mod it.)

-Pokemon (anything but Scarlet/Violet- it's buggy as hell; and Legends is like Dark Souls of Pokemon, so I don't recommend it if you need to take it easy- that game is STRESSFUL lol)

-Plague Inc Evolved
-Diablo 4 (I hear it's good; I haven't been able to afford it)
Mobile:
-Merge Dragons (It's really good for scratching that "I need to organize" itch. It keeps my ADHD satisfied)

-AFK Arena (It is a bit pay to play but I've been playing it as F2P since launch and it keeps me entertained.)
-Card Thief (Sneaky solitaire type game that requires strategy and has really neat art!)
-A Dark Room (text based RPG, similar to the Kittens Game- building up civilization and navigating the wilds)
-Two Eyes Nanogram (nanogram game with soothing music and a sweet story about soulmates)
-Lily's Garden (Cheesy "fix up the old house" type game with match three playstyle, but the characters are really well written and the game gives a lot of free lives, boosters etc, so it's not Pay to Play...I mostly play it when I'm high and it distracts me lol)

Disco Elysium & the Witness are the best RPG and puzzle games (respectively) in my book. Both have slower-pace gameplay with none or almost no stuff that requires great reflexes or reaction time or anything like that.

Slice and Dice (mobile available) - incredibly good indie game if you like roguelikes and basic RPGs. you get 5 characters in your party and play through 20 levels. each character has a die which has their attacks and can be leveled up and upgraded with items. TONS of replay value and the full game is only $7. if you dk if you'll like it there's a demo version.
Night in the Woods - this isn't new but it's well regarded. visual novel with platformer elements. with bonus social justice/labor organizing themes! also spooky/halloween/autumn themed if that's your jam.
Oxenfree - spooky visual novel about some friends who get stuck on a haunted island. has a few small puzzles and dialogue options and stuff. i have been told that different stuff happens when you play it a second time. :O
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - if you have a friend who can sit and play with you, this is a really fun and adorable co-op game where you steer a space ship around a 2D map and fight monsters. the characters are all cute woodland animals.

longer answer: i think we have placed a certain amount of faith in the dom team to not funnel the funds as, afaik, we’ve never had that sort of issue with them. to be honest, i didn’t even know it was a common practice for the bank to even show how much is in it; i had figured it would open the door to arguments on how and where funds were used if the exact sum were to be shown, if that makes sense… but, then again, i also see why it would make one nervous to not be able to see that the money is actually there, and i also wouldn’t blame people for being a little upset if they found out we had a metric ton of money and weren’t using it for much these days. again, idk— could just be the trust that the team wouldn’t do something inappropriate with it. though it would suck if i was wrong, because we’ve raised a couple hundred million t for this current fundraiser alone, and who even knows how much else prior to it.
i don’t really know what’s going on with dom in my flight, which is unfortunate considering i’d be a lot more compelled to participate if things seemed more put together. but i’m think a lot of us might be too nervous to confront them since they’re otherwise pleasant, not to mention the question of who would come to run the show if anyone actually quits. i can’t recall anyone actually being brought on when some other dom leads retired or moved flights a while back.
