I don't really have much of a problem with multis tbh, it's embarrassing but not especially malicious. But throwing staff under the bus like this with a dishonest description is kinda disappointing, ngl. :/

Did he throw staff under the bus, though? In a second post he made, he said he agreed 100% with their decision and asked people not to brigade staff on his behalf. Issue kind of belongs to the people defending him, tbh, because he's been incredibly chill about the whole situation. He already admitted to fault and had his very valuable account locked. I would rather not keep kicking him while he's down.

I feel like brightmyth intentionally making it sound like staff banned him over a much less offensive situation than it actually was is kind of dishonest and also rude to staff, yeah. He's doing better about this than PE but that's an incredibly low bar.

What do you want him to do? List out every single account he made and each time he transferred something to his main? He messed up, he got caught, he was very open about that (not even claiming they were just side accounts w/o interaction, but admitting he moved items/money to his main), and at no point has he blamed staff or implied they were wrong. He said he understood the ban and doesn't disagree. At most he expressed very mild disappointment at there not being a way to come clean about old side accounts without getting a main locked, but I'd hardly call that throwing staff under the bus or being rude or dishonest.

You're being incredibly pedantic and I have to assume you have some personal dislike of him, because this is just silly. FR drama tumblr users loves hating on staff and assuming the worst even when things are very clearly laid out for them - that's not on brightmyth. They're just dumb like that.

im not exactly the biggest fan of august either but idk, reading his initial post he seems relatively upfront about the multis? id chalk it up more to tumblr's piss poor reading comprehension and people wanting to stick it to the admins/suck up to brightmyth.

Nah, it's more this:
"I had registered accounts in 2016-2017 as a 14 year old before I registered brightmyth (locked account)."

This doesn't match up with the reality of him creating at least one of his multis nearly a year after his brightmyth account and using it until at least 2019 or beyond, whenever staff banned that account. It's petty rule breaking, nothing nasty, but come on. August, just take the L and move on instead of trying to save face and make this sound like this was a little oops you made back in 2016 that staff is overzealously punishing you for.

Is he not moving on though? Lol you guys really overscrutinize everything. With such a big figure in the community banned, we could have seen some real shitmongering and ban fear if he decided to rile everyone up. The fact that he's been very quiet about it and transparent with the staff decision says a lot in my book. He hasn't even posted about the lock aside from those two statements. I think it's you guys who need to move on.

And I'm not sure how much more of an L you want them to take. A list of every single account and action groveling for forgiveness? You guys aren't owed every single detail of the ban. It's already more than what I expected to see someone sharing the support screenshots openly. Would you, in the same situation, really be writing up a public essay of offenses that no one actually cares to read?

I'm honestly not sure where you got this from someone going 'hey, the description brightmyth gives about the thing and the actual thing that happened doesn't match up very well.'

I don't disagree, there's definitely details being left out. I disagree with the notion that we're owed any of that information though or that there's more he should be doing.

i can't imagine being brightmyth-tier wealthy and it being worth the trouble to funnel what amounts to a relative drop in the bucket? the screenshots are pretty damning in terms of the account having existed, but don't tell much in terms of what, if anything, it might have funneled to brightmyth himself.

I just found the one linked today after googling for ten minutes. It looks like mythicalviper was hanging around that account in 2018 though, so maybe it is an open secret. At this point it sounds like everyone and their mom has a multi on FR. Idk nonny, my thoughts around multi rings has always been is that they're blatant but pretty harmless. If someone really wants to spend an hour every day playing g+g twice for a total of one dollar and fifty cents, and risk their entire account to get an extra xxy g1... That's kind of embarrassing but I don't really care.
